Albert is King Ronin's principled second son and one of Aengus's early Kievan supporters.

Biography

Albert begins as a skeptical student, but later receives responsibility for guiding Aengus and Bella through the royal castle. His honesty and lack of hunger for the throne distinguish him from his elder brother, prompting Aengus to name him a future ruler and trusted subordinate. Albert asks that his father remain king until he is ready, then commands troops, guides the imperial party through Kievan, and carries intelligence for Hog and Bella. Fear surfaces before the coup, but his father's appeal to loyalty converts it into resolve, making service rather than ambition the basis of his advancement. (Chapters 358–439)

Appearance and personality

Albert is a handsome, fair young prince trained in impeccable etiquette. He is humble, morally serious, and sometimes slow to grasp political implications, but he compensates through candor and willingness to learn. He remains shy around Bella's beauty, worries openly when danger exceeds him, and can harden into determined action once responsibility is clear. (Chapters 385–439)

Skills, laws, and abilities

Albert has mastery of Illusion Law and uses a sword infused with Wind Law. Illusion makes him valuable for future covert work, while wind reinforces his direct swordsmanship; however, no named illusion, range, sensory effect, wind technique, or energy cost is shown. He commands a squad and later handles imperial errands, demonstrating leadership and intelligence work beyond combat.
