Amalthea's Silver Bell

Amalthea's Silver Bell, also called the Bell of Anthanasia, is a plain-looking divine artifact formerly owned by Amalthea, the Tender Goddess. Its early role is to protect and nurture Ella; later it merges with William's chest gem and shields part of his soul from corruption. (Chapters 107, 1077, 1100)

History

From Amalthea to Ella

Amalthea left the bell with David when she became a constellation. David sent it to William through the God Shop, and William gave it to Ella on a self-adjusting silver collar. (Chapter 107)

Protection inside William's heart

During the battle in Ahriman's Domain, Ella threw the bell into William's blackened chest gem, where the two artifacts merged. The bell later repelled the Primordial Goddess, absorbed William's memories of Belle for safekeeping, and preserved a quarter of his soul from total corruption. Half of Ella's soul took refuge within it and protected William from inside. (Chapters 1077, 1090, 1100, 1430)

Vessel for restoration

After the final war, the bell stood at the center of the formation through which the Eight Deadly Sins and Eight Heavenly Virtues created a body capable of containing Ella's Divinity. (Chapter 1430)

Abilities and properties

• Its appraisal grants +10 to every stat, keeps the wearer's body healthy, grants poison immunity, and enhances all nurturing skills. (Chapter 107)
• The appraisal also lists an unknown transformation and another unreadable function. William's Appraisal level is explicitly too low to translate them, so their mechanics remain undisclosed. (Chapter 107)
• The bell can merge into William's chest gem, manifest within his sea of consciousness, store protected memories, and preserve a quarter of his soul from corruption. (Chapters 1077, 1090, 1100)
• It can house part of a divine soul, but the bell itself does not create a replacement body; Ella's restoration requires the combined formation of sixteen Divinities. (Chapter 1430)
