Wendy

Wendy Armstrong is a noblewoman of the Hellan Kingdom, a gifted spear fighter, and one of William's earliest companions at Hestia Academy. She begins as a responsible academy officer whose composure contrasts with William's unruly reputation, but shared danger reveals a courageous and emotionally direct young woman. Wendy becomes the first of his peers to openly claim a romantic future with him, and she remains part of his family through wars, separations, and revelations about their intertwined past.

Her identity later expands beyond the academy student William first knew. In her previous life in Asgard, Wendy was an unnamed Valkyrie Captain who carried William's soul from a Midgard battlefield. That history reconnects her to William's previous existence without replacing Wendy Armstrong or the relationships she forms in the present.

Biography

The academy officer who chose William

Wendy meets William at Hestia Academy as an established member of its student leadership and a daughter of the Armstrong family. Their early interactions mix official responsibility, irritation, and curiosity: she is expected to uphold academy standards, while he repeatedly attracts attention and trouble. The distance between them narrows when they enter danger together. Wendy proves that her rank is not ceremonial, fighting with a spear and supporting her companions rather than waiting to be protected. William, in turn, treats her as a capable partner. The experience gives Wendy a view of him that gossip and titles cannot provide. (Chapters 147–163)

Wendy is unusually honest about what that closeness means. She confesses her feelings and enters a relationship with William instead of allowing noble expectations or uncertainty to make the decision for her. The choice exposes her to jealousy, political complications, and repeated periods when William's duties pull him elsewhere, but she does not become a passive figure waiting for his return. She continues training, serves alongside their allies, and takes part in the defense of their homeland. Her affection is expressed through constancy and practical support. When the Mind Weaver later controls her, a pink lollipop made by Lily erases the mental parasite and leaves her highly resistant to Charm not reinforced by Divine Power. The Valkyrie Captain and a shared future

Wendy's connection to Asgard is established through memories of an unnamed Valkyrie Captain. That earlier self was one of Asgard's three strongest fighters, personally carried William's soul from a Midgard battlefield, and asked him to marry her. Present-day Wendy later remembers meeting William, Chiffon, and Aila in that life. The corpus never gives the Valkyrie Captain a separate name, so the past establishes continuity with Asgard without creating a distinct named identity. (Chapters 270, 952, 1107, and 1168)

Wendy carries that continuity into the struggle against the powers threatening William and the world. She again serves as Captain of the Valkyries and appears among Freya's Valkyrie legion during William's later conflict with the Vanir. She reunites with William's household, accepts the other women he has chosen, and fights for the possibility that all of them can survive the final war. Wendy lives through that conflict and remains with William afterward, completing an arc defined by her repeated decision to stand beside the people she loves. Appearance and personality

Wendy is a beautiful young woman with long blue hair and blue eyes. She commonly wears the uniform appropriate to Hestia Academy or practical armor for battle, and she handles a spear with the posture of someone trained from childhood rather than an improvised combatant. Her later Valkyrie aspect gives her a more overtly divine martial presence, but her recognizable appearance and manner remain Wendy's. (Chapters 147–163 and 923–952)

She is dutiful, brave, and more emotionally straightforward than many members of William's circle. Her academy responsibilities make her attentive to rules and reputation, but she is willing to revise an opinion when direct experience proves it wrong. Wendy can be jealous and hurt, especially when distance or William's other relationships leave her uncertain, yet she usually answers insecurity by speaking, training, or acting.
