Simon receives returning students and asks for a full account before acting, reflecting his responsibility as Dean. He personally oversees Ernest, a Grade S magical talent, and later announces the truth that a Demon possessed Carter and used a sophisticated spell to control much of the Magic Division. This disclosure reframes the students' apparent betrayal as coercion. Simon is then turned into a crystal statue in the Kyrintor Mountains, removing both the academy leader and Ernest's mentor during the war; his later title call confirms he eventually returns.
