Nemesis

Nemesis is a hidden guardian assigned by the Primordial Goddess to keep William safe. Earlier common uses of “nemesis” in the corpus do not describe this person.

Biography

Watching William under concealment

The Primordial Goddess speaks Nemesis's name quietly during the Holy Order conflict, after which Nemesis is shown observing William while concealed and under direct orders to protect him. The sparse evidence does not record an overt rescue, attack, conversation, or failure; Nemesis's own action is sustained surveillance and readiness. References to Dark Magic's nemesis or armies fighting an old nemesis are ordinary nouns and cannot be used to expand this character's biography or establish an earlier personal appearance. Nemesis remains concealed, so appearance and temperament are unknown beyond obedience to the Primordial Goddess.
