Meredith is the Ice Phoenix guarding the Misty Sect and Rebecca's temporary contractor and later Guardian.

Biography

A guardian lent for Rebecca's duel

Thea plans to plead with Meredith to contract Rebecca for one day, using the Phoenix's strength to secure victory over William and raise the Misty Sect's prestige. Meredith answers Rebecca's invocation during the duel, creates a blizzard, and supplies Pseudo-Demigod pressure, but William still wins. Years later Meredith refuses to accompany Rebecca when she goes to meet William, fearing his retaliation against anyone who approaches his former fiancée. This leaves Rebecca to make that journey without her guardian's direct support. (Chapters 665, 700–701, 1403)

Meredith is an Ice Phoenix. She is proud and protective, but cautious enough to avoid provoking William later.
