Maximilian is a Kraetor prince and recognized martial genius who supports Jason and Vanessa from the royal sidelines.

Biography

A prince outside the central contest

Maximilian appears in the Central Continent as a prince able to close a tavern for privacy and observe events beside Jason. When Jason and Vanessa draw attention, Maximilian joins Leonidas in silently blessing their relationship rather than interfering. Although Kraetor regards both princes as geniuses, the Amazons later dismiss their strength as insufficiently exceptional for special consideration. The comparison defines Maximilian's limit: elite by imperial standards, but not among the world's most prized warriors. (Chapters 532, 685, 709, 772)
