Lira

Lira Vi Vevila is the bearer of Temperance and one of the Seven Heavenly Virtues. Sent to hunt William, she becomes his lover and Familia member, placing her in direct conflict with the Pope's later plans.

Biography

Temperance breaks with the Pope

Lira and Ephemera pursue William under the Pope's orders but are defeated and captured. Their relationship with him changes, and by the Grand Alliance Lira is openly one of William's women and gets along with his other partners. She faces the Pope's threatening “gift,” joins the journey to Edelweiss, and ultimately fights within William's coalition. The pursuit that was meant to suppress the Prince of Darkness therefore backfires by transferring a major Virtue bearer into his personal and military alliance. (Chapters 1122–1144, 1309, 1386, 1461–1472)

Appearance and personality

Lira is a beautiful Virtuous maiden; the sparse brief does not preserve a fuller stable description. She is affectionate, emotionally direct, and less restrained in private than her title suggests. (Chapters 1122–1131, 1210)

Skills, classes, and divinities

  • Temperance / Exceed Break: Her power can raise an ally's speed and reduce an enemy's speed by up to five hundred percent. The opposing adjustments are bounded rather than unlimited. (Chapter 1246)
  • Familia transmission: William can channel part of her Divinity through their bond; Lira remains its bearer. (Chapter 1246)
