Kasogonaga

Kasogonaga is a rainbow-scaled anteater deity who once brought rain to humanity and earned the name Rolling Calamity for the storm-wreathed charge it uses against enemies. Its power regresses after tens of thousands of years imprisoned in ice, but its alliance with William gives it a new community in the Thousand Beast Domain. Kasogonaga grows from a resentful captive into William's friend and the self-declared protector of the human race, sacrificing its life to cover William's escape from Ahriman's Domain. In the Underworld it becomes the singer “Lord Kazo,” builds a mass following, and leads tens of thousands of dead warriors back to Hestia for the final war. Appearance and personality

Kasogonaga is normally a small anteater about a foot tall and half a meter long, with rainbow-colored scales along its back and claws that curl into its feet. Those scales glow brightly enough to illuminate the ice that holds it and are among the strongest in the multiverse; Medusa cracks several teeth when she tries to bite them. When attacking, Kasogonaga curls into a ball and can enlarge itself from a compact projectile into a multimeter, spike-covered wrecking ball. In the Underworld it adopts a performer's accessories, including a small fedora and microphone, without abandoning its distinctive animal form. (Chapters 239–240, 964, 1284, 1452)

Gentle by its oldest reputation and fiercely aggressive when threatened, Kasogonaga combines an adorable voice with an arrogant, theatrical manner. It initially mistakes William for one of the Elves responsible for its imprisonment and attacks him while promising revenge upon the Silvermoon Continent. It is gluttonous around ant-type beasts, boasts about its fame, and frequently uses humor to manage danger, yet its vanity does not eclipse loyalty. Once the Thousand Beast Domain becomes its home, it recognizes Psoglav and Erchitu as best friends, complains while helping William, and willingly remains behind against Pseudo-Gods so everyone else can escape. Biography

The Southern Continental War

William discovers Kasogonaga frozen inside ancient magical ice during the Southern Continental War. The System identifies it as a human-friendly Demigod and Deity of the Sky, but imprisonment has reduced it to a low threat rank. When the seal breaks, the enraged anteater mistakes William for an Elf, attacks through repeated rolling charges, and declares that it will flood the Elven continent once its Divinity returns. William cannot reason with it in the unstable cavern, so he relocates it into the Thousand Beast Domain. Their relationship begins as confinement and resentment, then becomes cooperation: Kasogonaga feeds on powerful ants to recover, helps William pressure the Myriad Ant Queen, explores new dungeons with Psoglav, and fights beside William's forces rather than pursue indiscriminate revenge. Its place in William's community deepens through repeated battles. Kasogonaga fights the Elven army alongside Psoglav, applies lessons learned from earlier overextension, trains against Conan, and uses Scadrez as an aerial partner so its rolling attack can smash Morax's Bone Dragons. It also helps the Requiem Antz develop by opening access to Dungeon corpses, even though William must restrain its predatory appetite around living Antz. These experiences restore part of its former combat standing and replace its first hostility with enjoyment of the friends and routines inside the Domain. By the time William is trapped in Ahriman's territory, Kasogonaga is the one angrily demanding that the others find a way to help him. (Chapters 489–502, 664, 722, 861, 964, 1073)

That loyalty determines Kasogonaga's fate in the escape from Ahriman's Domain. It refuses William's order to return to safety and stays with a small group committed to escorting him out. When Pseudo-Gods pursue them, Kasogonaga helps activate a temporary sealing trap, sends its friends ahead, and remains alone after admitting that the peace it found with William, Psoglav, and Erchitu is worth defending. Declaring itself humanity's protector, it charges the freed Pseudo-Gods despite knowing the likely outcome. The Bull Demon King kills it, but the delay allows William's group to continue; William later retrieves the battered body and preserves it in ice rather than convert his friend into an undead servant. The Grand Alliance and the War of Destruction

Kasogonaga's soul reunites with Psoglav, Erchitu, and Jareth in the Underworld, where the four form a band and earn Hell Credits through concerts. Fame gives Kasogonaga a different kind of authority: Erinys becomes president of the “I Love Kazo” fan club, signed recordings sell widely, and the band pools its income while modifying the original bodies William returns to them. Kasogonaga also finds a legal way to help William finance his journey without violating the Underworld's ban on lending credits, paying a large tip through William's host-club work. The friends could eventually buy their own return, but they remain below long enough to gather resources and allies for the coming invasion instead of spending everything on an early, individual escape. When monsters from Hell open a route to the surface during the War of Destruction, Kasogonaga converts its audience into an army. Tens of thousands of fans follow it through the passage with weapons purchased from their accumulated merit, while Thanatos's officials tacitly allow the departure. Kasogonaga reunites with Scadrez, leads the Underworld Horde against Erlik, and attacks in a ten-meter spiked form whose rebuilt body can withstand blows from gods. Because many of the troops are souls, ordinary physical attacks cannot stop them, and their fearless advance helps steady a battlefield sliding toward defeat. Even after more than half of the Underworld force is erased, its survivors continue fighting; when Hestia wins, Kasogonaga answers the Alliance's victory chant with “For the Horde,” confirming its latest state as an active leader among the dead rather than a restored mortal. Deity of the Sky

Kasogonaga's original divine authority governs rain and is associated with thunder and lightning. In the early world it called rainfall for human settlements, sustaining crops and fertile land, while its rainbow-colored scales were said to have given birth to rainbows after storms. The System identifies it as a Demigod, but this is its former condition: millennia in the ice degrade its usable rank, and the narrative does not show a complete restoration of its lost Divinity before its first death. Rolling Calamity

Kasogonaga's signature attack begins when it curls into a ball, enlarges its body, and rolls or rebounds toward a target at increasing speed. It can produce spikes, alter its size during a charge, break concentrated defenses, and pulverize the heads of Bone Dragons. Its rebuilt Underworld body supports a ten-meter form durable enough to attack a god directly. The charge is powerful but not irresistible: Conan repels it by focusing the Iron Fortress's defense at the single impact point, and fighting alone against several Pseudo-Gods still ends in Kasogonaga's death. Ant predation and divine durability

The System calls Kasogonaga the bane of all ant-type beasts. It can consume powerful ants to recover strength, terrifies Ant Queens and colonies by presence alone, and has scales hard enough to injure another monster that bites them. This advantage is specialized rather than proof that it defeats every ant automatically; William repeatedly restrains it so allies such as the Myriad and Requiem Antz are not treated as food. • William: William first imprisons Kasogonaga in his Domain for mutual safety, but their repeated cooperation becomes friendship. Kasogonaga sacrifices its life to preserve William's escape and later returns with an army raised specifically to help him save Hestia. (Chapters 240, 354–412, 1073–1091, 1287, 1452)

Items

Kasogonaga has no personal artifact in the locked notable-item inventory. In the Underworld it uses ordinary performance gear such as a microphone, fedora, recordings, and stage equipment, but these support its celebrity role rather than supply its divine or rolling powers. The temporary sealing artifacts used against Ahriman's pursuers are provided for the group's escape and are not established as Kasogonaga's lasting possessions. Mechanics and limitations

• Tens of thousands of years in magical ice reduce Kasogonaga from a Demigod to a Class C threat at release. Later breakthroughs restore combat strength, but the corpus does not state that its first body fully regains the original Demigod rank. (Chapters 239–240, 664)
• The System initially reports “no known weakness,” yet demonstrated counters still exist. Concentrated fortification can repel the rolling charge, stronger beings can kill Kasogonaga, and surprise or positioning affects whether it can form an effective attack. (Chapters 239, 664, 1083–1084)
• Rolling can enlarge Kasogonaga and produce immense impact, but its path and momentum can expose it to redirection, collision, or opponents who endure the charge. Size alone does not erase rank disparities. (Chapters 240, 650, 664)
• Its advantage against ants creates an appetite that threatens allies. William must restrain or remove it around friendly Queens and colonies, so cooperation depends on discipline and supervision rather than automatic safety. (Chapters 354, 722)
• Kasogonaga remains dead under the laws of the Underworld even after receiving and modifying its original body.
