Felix

Felix Hal Gremory is the eldest son of Demon Lord Luciel, the half-brother of Chiffon, and the mortal chosen as Ahriman's Heir of Darkness. He rises from an insecure crown prince building a political faction into the commander of the Demon Army and a Pseudo-God who wages a war of conquest across the Central Continent. His power depends increasingly on coercion: he subjugates clans, uses the Mark of Darkness against the prophesied Brides, and steals abilities from women who fall under his control.

Felix and Aka Manah are treated here as one reconciled character identity with two wills. Felix is the green-haired demon whose body, ambitions, and crimes form the mortal career; Aka Manah is one of Ahriman's Council of Demons, sealed in the Crimson Crown of Darkness and eventually possessing Felix completely. The possessed body still carries Felix's history and accumulated powers, while the narrative distinguishes the possessing spirit from Felix when both are destroyed. The God of the Sun named Felix in Chapter 94 is a separate mythological figure, not Felix Hal Gremory.

Biography

An heir shaped by the Gremory household

Felix grows up in a family where fear is the principal instrument of authority. As a boy he joins his siblings in tormenting Chiffon, once luring his starving half-sister outside so that the family can cover her with refuse and rotten food. He is also a victim of Luciel's brutality. When Luciel discovers the plot that caused Chiffon's mother's death, he gives the fifteen-year-old Felix a choice between killing his own mother, Natasha, and dying with her. Felix stabs Natasha to survive, then obeys a second order to finish killing her. That history explains his fear of Luciel and his fixation on power, but it does not excuse the cruelty he continues to direct at Chiffon and others. (Chapters 611, 620, 643)

As an adult, Felix is handsome, proud, and politically calculating. He knows that his title will vanish when Luciel leaves the throne, so he cultivates candidates who use Dark Magic and builds a faction that can support his succession. He offers rewards to ambitious prodigies, privileges candidates who pledge themselves to him, and treats lower-ranked explorers as expendable scouts for the Ancient Ruins. His ambition is already global before his transformation: he promises his followers that the world is theirs to take, while privately searching for secrets that will let him eclipse both his father and rival candidates. The crown, Aka Manah, and a condemned soul

The Ancient Ruins become a Slaughter Domain in which candidates must kill to qualify as the Heir of Darkness. Felix sacrifices his army's lives, reaches the Crown of Darkness, and emerges as Ahriman's chosen heir. The crown raises him to the peak of the Myriad realm, grants authority over the Mark of Darkness, and links him to Ahriman and Aka Manah. Felix overthrows Luciel, takes the Demon throne, and forces the clan patriarchs to swear loyalty under threat of extermination. He then invades the Central Continent, conquering capitals and absorbing the abilities of women placed under his power until he reaches the Pseudo-God rank. His lack of genuine combat experience remains visible even at high rank: William, hardened by repeated wars against stronger opponents, repeatedly outmaneuvers him in direct exchanges. Aka Manah eventually takes complete control of Felix's mortal body and identifies the possessed Heir as one of Ahriman's Council of Demons. He tries to corrupt William by tearing open the darkness in his heart, but instead releases a berserk power he cannot contain. William destroys the Crown, devours Aka Manah's exposed soul, and then kills Felix and absorbs his Core of Darkness. Felix's soul reaches the Underworld, where he again gathers followers and uses the lingering Mark to hunt Celine. He reaches her prison in the Tower of Wrath and tries to compel her to kill her unborn child, but William arrives and destroys his body repeatedly with divine lightning. Underworld officials identify Felix's crimes as including genocide, rape, and kidnapping; his soul is removed from the Plains of Wrath and sentenced to two hundred years in the River of Hell before it can become eligible for reincarnation. Appearance and personality

Felix is a handsome male demon with green hair and blood-red eyes. As Ahriman's heir, he wears the Crimson Crown of Darkness and can cover himself in pitch-black armor or black flames. Aka Manah's possession retains Felix's recognizable body but adds clawed hands and the bearing of an older demonic will; the story nevertheless continues to refer to that physical vessel as Felix's body. He is ambitious, resentful, sadistic, and deeply insecure about respect. Felix recruits through promises when useful and terror when he gains the power to make terror effective. He enjoys humiliating people who cannot resist him, particularly women he treats as possessions, but quickly loses composure against opponents who can truly overpower him. His conduct in the Underworld demonstrates that death produces no reform: he rebuilds a hierarchy through violence, pursues Celine, and uses control magic against her unborn child. • Demon physiology and Dark Magic: Felix possesses the strength, flight, durability, and Dark Magic expected of an elite demon. The Crown steadily raises him to the peak of the Myriad rank, and subsequent absorption lets him enter the Pseudo-God rank. • Crimson Crown of Darkness: The crown recognizes Felix as Heir, amplifies his power, connects him to Ahriman, and contains Aka Manah. It is also a point of failure.
