Eleanor

Eleanor is an elder of the Misty Sect, Rebecca's mentor, and a co-administrator of the sect's Southern branch. Her dealings with William range from regulating his youthful duel to enforcing the sect's later political decisions. (Chapters 17, 81, 693, and 705)

Biography

Rebecca's mentor and sect administrator

Eleanor joins Agatha in breaking William and Rebecca's engagement, then oversees the duel that follows by forbidding a magic sword and fatal attacks. Years later she reprimands Kingsley, briefs the sect about William's growing importance, and acts on Thea's order to round up Red Devils and corrupt officials. She also participates in faction planning with Miriam. Long after the early conflict, Eleanor asks Rebecca whether William still holds a grudge against her.
