Biography

The serpent defeated through borrowed strength

Apophis introduces himself as a God and promises death to William's group, establishing a direct Pseudo-God-scale threat in the Deadlands. William fights him with assistance, including power previously lent by Chloee, rather than treating the battle as an effortless solo victory. Shannon witnesses the confrontation through her distant sight, and William's performance greatly increases her interest in him.
