Yu Rou
Yu Rou is the Sacred Lady of the Moon Goddess' lineage within the Yu Family. She recognizes the Sun God and Moon Goddess Divine Essence within Su Ming and addresses him as the Gods' Apostle, a hereditary bond that gives him alarming authority over her life and mind. She becomes his guide and attendant during the Black Ink Auction preparations, though her wariness shows that reverence does not erase her judgment.
Biography
The Apostle and Black Ink Auction
Yu Rou explains that her lineage spent generations seeking an inheritor for its ancient sacred item and accepts Su Ming once she senses both divine bodies and their Divine Essence in him. The connection inclines her toward absolute obedience, but she continues analyzing him and grows wary when his takeover of Dao Kong does not match ordinary Possession. She follows his instructions, arranges a chamber for his isolation, and participates in the operation surrounding Black Ink Auction. When the bald crane and Abyss Dragon deceive her with false deaths, her anger gives way to confusion and envy at their apparent loyalty; she leaves without discovering the performance, showing that her long life and strength do not make her immune to manipulation. (Chapters 871–905)
Knowledge preserved beyond Black Ink Planet
Yu Rou later survives principally through information Su Ming remembers from her. She had explained the ancient hierarchy of Ancestral, Antecedental, Successor, and Succeeding Spirits, connecting modern cultivators to the earliest living beings. That explanation becomes useful when Su Ming encounters spirit ascension far later, but no new scene confirms Yu Rou's location or condition. (Chapter 1185)
Appearance and personality
Yu Rou is a beautiful woman whose appearance is notable enough to be compared with another high-level female cultivator in Dao Kong's retinue. She is ceremonially respectful toward the Apostle and readily obeys direct instructions, yet she is observant, suspicious, and capable of intense anger when she believes Su Ming's companions have been killed. Her failure to detect their transformation trick is explicitly attributed to limited life experience relative to Su Ming, not lack of cultivation power. (Chapters 871–905)
Abilities and cultivation
Yu Rou possesses long life and “outstanding power,” but the dossier does not state an exact formal realm or preserve a complete set of demonstrated attacks. Her authority within the Yu Family and willingness to pursue two apparently treacherous creatures support her status as a senior combatant, not a precise numerical comparison. (Chapters 879–905)
Her Moon Goddess lineage creates a spiritual bond with the bearer of both divine Essences. Su Ming senses that he could command her mind or death, but the mechanism and range are not tested, and the bond should not be treated as an ability Yu Rou freely activates. Her most clearly demonstrated personal strength is learned knowledge: she preserves an ancient account of spirit ranks that later helps Su Ming interpret ascension. (Chapters 871–872, 1185)
