Ye Long

Ye Long is Seven Moons Sect's leading outer disciple before Wang Tao's arrival. Determined and proud, he becomes an unwilling measure of Su Ming's rise yet retains enough discipline to acknowledge defeat instead of turning rivalry into self-destruction.

Biography

Ancient Zang and the final truth

Ye Long leads the outer trial with more than thirty spirit plates and confronts the meditating Wang Tao by announcing his name and fighting intent. His expression and hidden sense of supremacy remind Su Ming of Ye Wang, but Ye Long is an Ancient Zang counterpart rather than the same documented life. When challenged by Wang Tao's invisible boundary, he ultimately steps back, preserving himself for the trial's next phase. (Chapters 1382–1385)

Ye Long's plates protect him when ferocious spirits descend, and other disciples clear a path for his white arc. Yet Wang Tao's blood moon inspires greater fear and earns the title of eldest senior brother. Ye Long bows with the others, accepting the public reversal. Later, Su Ming's clearing of formations reduces Ye Long from the expected flower to background and then beyond comparison. Even so, his master calls his potential extraordinary and identifies him as a troublesome subject in One Dao Sect's proposed exchange, preserving his standing independent of Su Ming. (Chapters 1385–1405)

Appearance and personality

Ye Long is a white-robed boy with calm features, burning fighting spirit, determination, and deep confidence. Pride drives him to challenge exceptional peers, but restraint lets him step back and bow when the result is clear. (Chapter 1385)

Abilities and cultivation

Ye Long can collect more than thirty spirit plates in the sect trial, fly as a white-dragon-like arc, and command the respect of ordinary outer disciples. The plates seal ferocious spirits and prevent their owners from being attacked, making his trial survival partly item-derived. His exact cultivation realm and personal offensive Art are not stated. Wang Tao's barrier and later formation performance decisively exceed his current capabilities. (Chapters 1382–1404)

Relationships

  • Su Ming / Wang Tao: Ye Long challenges him, becomes his comparison point, and ultimately acknowledges the new eldest senior brother. (Chapters 1385–1404)
  • Red-robed master: The elder values Ye Long's potential, takes him as a disciple, and resists treating him casually in One Dao Sect's exchange. (Chapter 1405)
  • Ye Wang: Su Ming perceives a strong resemblance in expression and temperament, but the corpus presents Ye Long as a distinct Ancient Zang figure. (Chapter 1385)

Items

  • Spirit plates: Ye Long gathers more than thirty. Once activated, each seals a ferocious spirit and protects its owner during the trial. (Chapters 1382–1385)
