Mo Luo
Mo Luo is the ruler and namesake of Scour Sieve Island, a powerful Berserker condemned as an Immortal collaborator. His reliance on accumulated power, Great Yu techniques, and a supposed protector fails when Su Ming invades the island.
Biography
Freezing Sky and the Ninth Summit
Mo Luo first appears through an attack against a Bone Sacrifice deity statue near Sky Mist. The statue withstands his spear without damage, and a defender denounces him as an Immortal dog. The failed projection of force establishes his hostility toward the Berserker border but also the inability of his remote strike to break its ancestral defense. (Chapter 361)
Scour Sieve Island's fall
By the Eastern Wastelands crisis, Mo Luo has reached the peak of the later Berserker Soul stage and is halfway to great completion. He controls the largest outer island, has visited Great Yu, and commands forces that frighten neighboring refuges into hiding. Zong Ze admits losing to him and warns Su Ming that Mo Luo's Great Yu power makes him stronger than an ordinary cultivator at the same broad stage. (Chapters 525–529)
Su Ming nevertheless destroys Scour Sieve Island and corners him. Mo Luo calls on “Mo Que,” a seven-colored peacock he has supported with offerings, only to discover the protector is the bald crane maintaining a fraudulent persona and desperately avoiding Su Ming. The betrayal shatters Mo Luo's confidence. He is defeated but kept alive, carried away sealed so Fang Cang Lan can read his memories concerning a Shaman Soul and Su Ming's eldest senior brother. His fate after that interrogation is unrecorded. (Chapters 531–538)
Appearance and personality
Mo Luo is an old man whose authority rests on fear, island power, and a reputation for unpredictable divine abilities. He is ambitious, politically opportunistic, and normally difficult to deceive, yet faith in Mo Que's displayed might makes him catastrophically credulous. Even while captured, he imagines rebuilding his faction, showing resilience mixed with self-delusion. (Chapters 525–538)
Abilities and cultivation
Mo Luo is at the peak of the later Berserker Soul stage, halfway to great completion. He can project a spear attack and reproduce an illusion of Great Yu Sky Palace, a learned method whose force exceeds ordinary later-stage peers. He remains below true great completion and cannot damage the Bone Sacrifice statue or defeat Su Ming. (Chapters 361, 525, 584)
His strategic power includes Scour Sieve's faction and offerings to Mo Que, but both are external dependencies. The island is destroyed and the supposed protector refuses battle, leaving Mo Luo's personal cultivation insufficient. (Chapters 537–538)
