Crimson Python Phoenix
The Crimson Python Phoenix is a sealed alien beast of Crimson Flame Planet that accepts Su Ming because his Possession of one of its young gives him the presence of its child. The gigantic adult becomes his mount and companion, while the possessed juvenile supplies his first physical clone. These related but distinct states account for both the creature beside him and the Crimson Python Phoenix body he later cultivates.
Biography
South Morning and the Immortal conflict
Su Ming emerges from a volcano accompanied by a smaller Crimson Python Phoenix and stands on the head of a gigantic adult. The adult treats his presence as that of its child and allows him to ride it, lending him World Plane-level intimidation as he takes control of Crimson Flame Planet's northern region. It remains beside him during his isolation, responds when he travels, and waits anxiously when its immense body cannot enter the underground seal. The release of such a beast also exposes Su Ming to investigation by the True Guards. (Chapters 750–765)
The Crimson Flame later explains that the species is among the alien ferocious beasts whose intelligence was erased and whose survival depends on the sealed duke's diffused life force. Su Ming's ability to release the creature becomes evidence that he can open other seals. Separately, the juvenile that tried to devour Su Ming instead triggered his Abyss Builder ability to Possess; he formed a physical clone from its body and inherited its destructive law. The free adult and the possessed clone therefore should not be treated as a single continuous body. (Chapters 763, 770, 787)
The Fifth Furnace and Morning Dao
Su Ming's Crimson Python Phoenix clone trains in the Art of Swallowing Hollow Shadows Whole and survives several disasters, but its original species flaw prevents it from absorbing power beyond the fifth disaster. By the time Su Ming returns to Crimson Flame Planet, he cannot find the free Crimson Python Phoenixes, leaving the adult companion's fate unresolved. (Chapters 825–853)
Later, the clone acquires an independent ambition under the Heavenly Incense Rune's copying influence. It transforms back into a multicolored Crimson Python Phoenix to flee Su Ming. The God Slayer Art shatters that form and forces it back into humanoid shape, but its exceptionally powerful body survives and escapes. This is the last confirmed state of the species-derived clone, not proof of the adult mount's whereabouts. (Chapters 1116, 1173–1177)
Appearance and personality
The adult is so large that it resembles a small hill even while resting; the clone's reverted form is likewise gigantic and shines in many colors. The companion is fierce toward strangers, proud of its territory, and initially trades hostile growls with the Bald Crane. Around Su Ming it is quiet, loyal, and sensitive to his wish for solitude. Its unease outside the underground seal and inability to follow show animal caution rather than mindless aggression.
Abilities and cultivation
World Plane-equivalent body
The adult releases pressure no weaker than a Lord of a World Plane and serves as a fast aerial mount. Its size becomes a practical limit in enclosed terrain. The corpus calls it a low-ranked alien beast relative to greater beings despite that local power. (Chapters 751–765, 787)
Law of disassembly
Crimson Python Phoenix bodies possess an innate law that can disassemble and destroy matter. Su Ming inherits it through Possession, and the smaller creature independently displays the same surrounding distortions. The ability is bodily and species-derived; Su Ming's later refinements should not be attributed to the adult companion. (Chapters 750–752, 770)
Possessed clone and physical cultivation
The possessed body becomes Su Ming's first physical clone and trains in the Art of Swallowing Hollow Shadows Whole, combining the species' destructive law with a learned Surging Indulger art. It reaches initial World Plane Realm after the first disaster and grows tougher through later trials. Its Crimson Python Phoenix foundation imposes a hard flaw at the fifth disaster, preventing further absorption until that defect can be mended. The clone's later resistance and escape demonstrate extreme durability, but this cultivation is learned by Su Ming's clone, not innate mastery held by every member of the species. (Chapters 825–837, 1173–1177)
Relationships
- Su Ming: The adult accepts him as kin and mount; a juvenile body becomes his first physical clone through Possession.
- Bald Crane: A quarrelsome fellow companion. Their displays remain mostly posturing rather than a serious fight.
- Crimson Flame: His diffused life force sustains the sealed alien beasts of Crimson Flame Planet.
Items
No personal equipment is recorded. The Crimson Python Phoenix clone is a possessed living body, not an item.
