Bao Qiu

Bao Qiu is an Evil Spirit Sect cultivator whom Su Ming controls through a soul seal while infiltrating the sect as Chen Su. She gives him shelter and intelligence, but the arrangement leaves her life outside her own control. Her fear peaks when the sect orders her to join the Great Sky Devourer Rune, whose fused souls may expose Su's brand and destroy her.

Biography

Concealment, coercion, and the sect war

After giving her name, Bao Qiu resumes the old-woman disguise she uses to keep others away from her isolated hall. She arranges for Chen Su to serve as her laborer, allowing Su Ming to remain hidden at Thousand River Valley. When Evil Sect mobilizes, she repeatedly calls for him because the Great Sky Devourer Rune will merge its participants' souls under a stronger overseer. Discovery of Su's seal could condemn her, while revealing it herself would also risk his control. She finally reports the coming battle and Di Tian's two clones; Su promises to conceal the brand and accompany her, resolving the immediate danger without restoring her freedom. (Chapters 614–647)

Bao Qiu joins the army on its final Yin Dragon and fights a Great Leaf cultivator of the same Soul Transformation stage, preventing high-level combatants from breaking into the armies below. She then witnesses Su confront Di Tian. Her interpretation credits an ambush because the true level of their exchange exceeds what she can perceive, underscoring both her substantial power and the limit of her understanding. (Chapters 647–656)

Appearance and personality

Bao Qiu's natural form is a young woman, but she commonly wears the appearance of a sullen old woman and surrounds her hall with seals to discourage visitors. She is cautious, private, and keenly aware of sect hierarchy. Her obedience to Su Ming is coerced by the soul seal, though her decision to warn him also reflects practical judgment: silence would leave both of them exposed during the Rune. (Chapters 614–647)

Abilities and cultivation

Bao Qiu is explicitly at Soul Transformation Stage. She can fight another cultivator at that stage in sustained battlefield containment, but the dossier does not name her offensive techniques or declare a victor. Her placement among Evil Spirit Sect's elite supports high rank without making her comparable to Di Tian's clone. (Chapters 647–656)

Her old-woman appearance is a disguise, and her isolated hall is protected by numerous seals. The Great Sky Devourer Rune is collective and requires participating souls to fuse; it is not Bao Qiu's personal ability and may expose foreign marks within her soul. Su Ming's separate brand allows him to control her life and is an imposed vulnerability, not her cultivation. (Chapters 614–647)

Relationships

  • Su Ming: Secret master who seals her soul, uses her home as cover, and protects that concealment during the sect's Rune.
  • Shen Dong: Evil Spirit Sect elder above Bao Qiu in the local hierarchy and the person she considers approaching if Su does not answer.
  • Di Tian: Distant battlefield power whose clash with Su Ming exceeds Bao Qiu's ability to interpret accurately.

Items

  • Mountain hall and seals: Bao Qiu's guarded residence supplies Su Ming's cover. The seals protect privacy but do not prevent his earlier control.
