The Northern Cities and Great Clan War

Ian encounters Sooyeon while intervening in an assault involving runaway youths. After learning that she has left school and does not have a job, he offers her part-time work at Café Reason. Han Yeori objects to the unilateral decision but takes responsibility for teaching her, including the written preparation needed for café work. By Sooyeon’s next direct appearance, she greets customers confidently and has become noticeably brighter; later she and Han handle orders together, share food, and leave the café arm in arm. Sooyeon continues working with Han while Ian’s Elder Lord affairs grow more dangerous.
