Edgar is a human player who leaves the original Rehabilitation Brothers after financial ruin and the end of his relationship with Robina, then rises to lead the Heaven and Earth Clan’s Maillard branch. He captures Crockta and tries to destroy his former companions, but Crockta’s refusal to abandon him changes his final choice. Biography

The South and the Heaven and Earth Conflict

Before joining Heaven and Earth, Edgar manages a youth soccer team in reality and adventures as one of the original Rehabilitation Brothers in Elder Lord. Violence within the team is blamed on him because he lacks institutional backing, his parents’ business fails, and he takes laboring work when his immediate livelihood becomes precarious. His anxiety damages his relationship with Robina, who ends it after he explains the crisis. Heaven and Earth then offers the income and advancement he needs, and his training ability helps him rise to command Maillard. The promotion gives Edgar a route upward, but ties his recovery to a clan that treats other lives and its own members as resources. (Chapters 139 and 142)

Edgar happens to meet Crockta drunk and grieving the relationship, then recognizes him and imprisons him as a warning to the Rehabilitation Brothers. He presents himself as rational, calls Crockta an expendable non-player character, and intends to send the orc’s head to his former comrades. The prison’s magically strengthened bars hold Crockta temporarily, but the enchantment is part of Edgar’s facility rather than a spell Edgar is shown casting. Edgar has harshly trained and leveled his branch because Heaven and Earth’s leadership expects results. When Robina arrives with the Rehabilitation Brothers, he tries to drive them from Maillard, then uses coordinated formations designed to counter her archery and orders the feared Concrete method. His side is winning until Crockta intervenes. After Crockta destroys the branch, Edgar admits defeat and expects his remaining route to advancement to collapse. Edgar responds by killing his own avatar to disconnect, warning Crockta silently to beware Heaven and Earth. He does not reappear normally in Maillard, and the later explanation resolves why: Edgar is among the people held in the clan’s illegal sleeping room, where modified capsules, drugs, and intimidation prevent participants from leaving after they initially accepted money. Information attributed to Edgar helps confirm the operation for Robina and the clan commander, enabling police and prosecutors to find the facility. Edgar is rescued alive with the other captives; the corpus does not establish whether he returns to Elder Lord, rejoins the Rehabilitation Brothers, reconciles with Robina, or faces legal consequences.
