Earl Ashur sends Grid into one of the Eternal Kingdom's forbidden areas to recover a book whose existence is uncertain. After a three-month journey marked by repeated deaths and broken equipment, Grid reaches the Northern End Cave, finds the old book, and uses the Eye of Pallalian to identify it.
