Kraugel's Twilight

The Kraugel's Twilight is a divine dragon-scale sword designed through Kraugel's understanding of swordsmanship and forged by Grid from one of Xenon's scales. Its construction favors versatility and sword-breaking force; Pagma later strengthens it by combining it with a White Tiger Sword. (Chapters 1681, 1855, and 1894)

History

Twin designs and dragon-scale forging

Grid and Kraugel conceived twin swords called Twilight, but made them from very different dragon materials. Grid's version used Bunhelier's fang, while Kraugel's used a scale from near Xenon's heart. Grid folded the less complete scale thousands of times, following the pattern Kraugel had marked into it, both to compensate for the material and to repay Kraugel for White Fang. The result was judged comparable to Grid's own myth-rated growth sword despite its lower-grade source material. (Chapter 1681)

The design continued to inform Grid's later work, and Hexetia described Twilight's form as suitable for every kind of swordsmanship. These comments concern the shared design rather than proving that the two Twilight swords have identical options. (Chapters 1711 and 1793)

Pagma's combined reinforcement

Pagma later combined Kraugel's Twilight with a White Tiger Sword and left the completed weapon to Kraugel. In its strengthened state, Twilight holds five attributes and seven kinds of magic. Kraugel continues wielding it through the late conflict with Asura. (Chapters 1855, 1894, and 2051)

Abilities and properties

• Kraugel's markings give the sword a fluid structure that performs as a sword breaker. Its form is intended to accommodate the full breadth of a Sword Saint's techniques rather than specialize in one narrow motion. (Chapters 1681 and 1793)
• The sword is treated as a divine weapon of exceptional quality even though Xenon's scale is inferior to an old dragon's fang. Its close connection to Kraugel's own conception is a major part of that result. (Chapter 1681)
• After Pagma's work, the combined sword contains five attributes and seven types of magic. Kraugel uses it while applying a newly created sword technique against a large magical formation, so the scene shows compatibility with that technique rather than an automatic formation-breaking effect. (Chapters 1855 and 1894)
• It can withstand direct high-level pressure, including blocking an attack by Asura's hand. The same scene separately identifies Grid's old-dragon-fang Twilight as the sword that wounds Baal, so that later feat does not belong to Kraugel's weapon. (Chapter 1820)
• Its sunset-like sword light remains visible in Kraugel's late attacks. The Space Sword that follows is Kraugel's technique and should not be treated as an automatic weapon effect. (Chapter 2051)
