Overgeared Skeleton One
Overgeared Skeleton One is one of Grid's two evolving undead summons. It begins as an axe-bearing skeleton, develops toward an advanced martial class, and eventually demonstrates a passive sword strike that hits multiple times. (Chapters 513, 810, 821, 986, 1456, 1531–1532, and 1542)
Biography
Recurring role and later consequences
Grid summons Overgeared Skeleton One beside Overgeared Skeleton Two as a simple skeleton carrying a half-moon axe, then equips it with White's Axe. Continued use and growth lead Grid to imagine different evolutionary paths for the pair: Skeleton One as a death knight and Skeleton Two as a lich. A later possible-class list confirms that Skeleton One's development can become specialized rather than remaining a disposable basic summon. (Chapters 513, 810, 821, and 986)
The two skeletons continue reacting to one another's progress, showing shared awareness rather than functioning as silent tools. Grid eventually considers giving a prepared body either to Skeleton One or Iyarugt, a decision important enough to occupy him for days. Skeleton One's later sword training produces a passive triple-hit attack, demonstrating that its martial evolution has yielded a distinct and reliable combat mechanic. (Chapters 1456, 1531–1532, and 1542)
Appearance and personality
Skeleton One first appears as an ordinary skeletal undead armed with a half-moon axe. The supplied scenes do not describe a fixed face, clothing, or later body in detail. Its personality is expressed indirectly through its bond with Skeleton Two and its participation in Grid's plans: it recognizes the other's joy and remains a candidate for increasingly significant forms of existence. (Chapters 513, 1456, and 1531–1532)
Abilities, classes, and skills
Skeleton One is summoned through Grid's Overgeared Skeleton skill and can use weapons supplied by him. Its growth system offers class evolution, with death knight among Grid's anticipated outcomes. By Chapter 1542, a single sword strike lands three hits: the second and third deal reduced damage, but the effect is passive and can consume multiple defensive triggers. This makes the technique tactically valuable even when its total damage is not equivalent to three full attacks. (Chapters 513, 821, 986, and 1542)
Relationships
- Grid: Grid summons, equips, and directs Skeleton One, while also planning its class evolution and considering a new body for it. (Chapters 513, 821, 986, and 1531–1532)
- Overgeared Skeleton Two: The two undead begin together and follow complementary development paths. Skeleton One responds to Skeleton Two's progress as a companion rather than an unrelated summon. (Chapters 513, 821, and 1456)
- Iyarugt: Iyarugt and Skeleton One become alternative recipients for a body Grid has prepared, reflecting the value Grid assigns to both entities. (Chapters 1531–1532)
