Lorex
Lorex is the Saharan Empire's Third Knight, sent to punish Valhalla and destroy the hidden descendant of the Undefeated King. His exceptional endurance and axe techniques pressure Grid, but Grid defeats him and Agnus briefly raises his corpse as a death knight. (Chapters 704 and 706–709)
Biography
Role in Kingdom Building and the Great Demons
Lorex leads the Red Knights assigned to suppress Ares's rebellion and locate the Undefeated King's descendant sheltered by Valhalla. He confronts Grid without recognizing the disguised king and relies on a direct exchange of blows. His huge health, repeated axe strikes, and recovery make the battle favorable to him until Grid neutralizes his finishing technique and links a skill between basic attacks, turning the accumulated exchange into Lorex's death. (Chapters 704 and 706–708)
Lorex's corpse immediately becomes useful to another faction. Agnus raises him behind Kyle as a death knight, and Lorex lands a surprise attack before the enormous dominance cost breaks Agnus's control after only three seconds. Kyle regards Lorex's death and the imperial army's rout as proof that the Red Knights are incompetent, making the failed mission serve the political effort to dismantle the order Lorex led. (Chapters 708–709)
Appearance and personality
Lorex is a white-haired man who appears older than forty. He fights with the confidence of one of the empire's highest knights and initially treats Grid's basic attacks as an irritation rather than a threat. Surprise turns to anger when Grid's equipment withstands and damages his axe, and he continues an exhausting head-on contest instead of reconsidering the matchup. (Chapters 704 and 706–707)
Abilities, classes, and skills
Lorex is an axe warrior with extraordinary health, endurance, and heavy basic attacks. He appears to recover health passively while dealing damage and uses Volcano Axe, an explosive area technique. These strengths make him difficult to defeat through ordinary attrition. Grid counters him by damaging the axe, suppressing its released energy, and concentrating rapidly escalating attacks before Lorex can exploit his greater durability. (Chapters 706–707)
