Gyuratan

Gyuratan is the identity used by Astaroth while the great demon infiltrates the Saharan Empire as the Fourth Knight. After years of concealing demonic energy and manipulating the Red Knights, he attempts to eliminate Mercedes, but Grid exposes his weakness and destroys the thunder stone sustaining his power. Biography

Role in Kingdom Building and the Great Demons

Gyuratan occupies a high position in the empire while secretly acting as Astaroth. His infiltration reaches back fifteen years: he helps frame Piaro, kills members of the old Red Knights and their families, and preserves the false history surrounding their destruction. When Mercedes investigates, he turns on her and tries to make her death look like further evidence of guilt. (Chapters 790 and 797–800)

Grid's intervention reveals that Gyuratan is demonkin when Lifael's Spear inflicts exceptional damage. Gyuratan nevertheless continues fighting Mercedes, Bain, and Goldhit while the palace's thunder stone strengthens his lightning. Grid identifies that connection and destroys the stone, sharply weakening the infiltrator and giving Mercedes a chance to rise again.
