Cabelon

Cabelon is a blind transcendent swordsman and veteran ruins hunter who calls himself Muller's disciple. Initially encountered as a proud guardian seeking the former Sword Saint's relics, he later joins Skunk's work under the Overgeared Kingdom after learning that Muller is still alive. (Chapters 1709–1712 and 1832–1833)

Biography

Role in Baal, Asgard, and the Complete Ending

Cabelon confronts Kraugel as a guardian connected to No Offspring Tomb. He claims descent from Muller's teachings, uses variants of Matchless Swordsmanship, and seeks relics associated with the legendary hero. Although cold and proud, he reads the changing battle accurately and knows when surrender is wiser than dying. A prior contract concerning the tomb does not prevent him from accompanying Skunk's expedition, where his centuries of experience as a ruins hunter become useful outside direct combat. (Chapters 1709–1712)

When assassins later attack, Cabelon locates them by sound and cuts with enough precision to avoid surrounding civilians. Haster subdues him after artificial eyes briefly change the terms of the clash, and the resulting exchange reveals the roots of Cabelon's identity: an accident in ancient ruins cost him his sight, while studying Muller's techniques let him survive and continue pursuing artifacts. News that Muller lives redirects his devotion, and he works with Skunk under the Overgeared Kingdom rather than remaining bound to a dead hero's monument. (Chapters 1832–1833)

Appearance and personality

Cabelon is blind and normally navigates through sharpened nonvisual senses. His blindness is also a personal complex rooted in the accident that nearly ended his career, making the temporary restoration of sight emotionally and tactically significant. He is aloof, proud of his connection to Muller, and initially possessive of heroic relics, yet practical enough to surrender and later redirect his expertise toward cooperative exploration. (Chapters 1709–1712 and 1832–1833)

Abilities, classes, and skills

Cabelon is a transcendent swordsman who reproduces variants of Muller's Matchless Swordsmanship. His hearing and spatial awareness let him track hidden attackers and make precise cuts without harming civilians, while long experience gives him knowledge of ruins, ancient artifacts, and their traps. Artificial eyes can temporarily alter his sensory limits, but his established fighting style is built around functioning without ordinary vision. (Chapters 1709 and 1832–1833)
