Aliburn
Aliburn is Yatan's Third Servant and a leader of the attack on the Rebecca Church gathering. He orders the complete killing of witnesses, helps form a barrier with Yatan Essence, and attacks Damian with large-scale black magic. His death removes the barrier and allows outside defenders to reach Grid. (Chapters 865, 867, 869, 871–873, and 879)
Biography
Role in East Continent and Imperial Reckoning
Aliburn enters the assault by ordering Yatan's followers to let no one escape and to publicize the church's dignity through massacre. As Third Servant, he acts as a directing figure rather than a hidden observer. His demonstrated motivation is organizational zeal: annihilating everyone trapped in the operation is itself intended as a declaration of Yatan Church power. (Chapter 865)
He helps maintain a barrier created from Yatan Essence and black magic, which is expected to contain Damian indefinitely. Damian's escape and holy rain overturn that confidence, prompting Aliburn to demand that the pope stop the effect. The exchange reveals that his containment is powerful but vulnerable to the specific sacred opposition assembled inside it. (Chapters 867 and 869)
As Grid kills another servant, Aliburn recognizes Dark Bus' earrings on him and understands that earlier Yatan Church assets have passed to an enemy. Aliburn continues the fight by summoning hundreds of black spheres, but Damian retains confidence that the quest can be cleared. The bounded evidence places Aliburn under increasing combined pressure rather than documenting a new transformation. (Chapters 871–873)
Aliburn is eventually killed. His death lifts the barrier, allowing Mercedes to reach Grid and guard him afterward. The delayed reinforcement confirms that Aliburn's magic had isolated the battlefield until his defeat. This barrier collapse is his final direct consequence; no posthumous power or return is documented. (Chapter 879)
Appearance and personality
The selected evidence provides no distinct face, body, or clothing description. Aliburn is fanatical, commanding, and openly hostile to the Rebecca Church, framing indiscriminate killing as religious dignity and insulting Damian as an enemy of Yatan. (Chapters 865 and 869)
Abilities, classes, and skills
Aliburn uses Yatan Essence with black magic to sustain a powerful isolation barrier. He can summon hundreds of black spheres and participates at the level expected of the Third Servant. Damian's escape, holy rain, and the combined action of Grid's side overcome the operation, while Aliburn's death automatically removes the barrier. (Chapters 867, 869, 871–873, and 879)
Relationships
Damian is Aliburn's principal religious opponent. The barrier is designed to contain him, but Damian escapes and maintains confidence against Aliburn's large-scale magic. (Chapters 867, 869, and 873)
Grid dismantles the servant group around Aliburn and carries artifacts Aliburn recognizes from fallen Yatan Church allies. Aliburn's eventual death frees Grid's outside support. (Chapters 871–873 and 879)
Silvenas is a fellow servant in the same assault. Their cooperation serves the shared operation; no separate personal relationship is documented. (Chapters 865, 867, and 869)
Items
- Yatan Essence: A powerful ritual material combined with black magic to form the barrier containing the church gathering. (Chapter 869)
