Ganpyeongui
The Ganpyeongui is a Joseon relic that measures and temporarily calls on constellation power.
History
Relic of the History Museum
Kim Dokja sends Yoo Sangah and Lee Gilyoung to find the disc-like relic before the War of Kings. Its readings let the group test available constellation support and turn that support into carefully timed intervention. (Chapters 63–65)
Exhaustion and sacrifice
The device has a finite number of calls. When those are exhausted, Kim Dokja uses the Dragon Jar and sacrifices the Three-Wheeled Ring to restore one final invocation, after which the Ganpyeongui itself is lost in the exchange. (Chapters 71–72)
Abilities and properties
- It gauges compatible constellations and can call a chosen presence by consuming a limited use. (Chapters 63–65)
- Greater aid carries probability consequences, and the relic cannot be used indefinitely. (Chapters 88 and 177)
