Atrocious War God

The Atrocious War God is Ares, one of Olympus's twelve principal gods and a leader who turns the manufactured Gigantomachia into a vehicle for his war story.

Biography

Olympus prepares its war

Ares appears in the promotional campaign for Gigantomachia as the commander whose soldiers rush the giants. When Olympus debates whether to continue the scenario, he argues for fighting, aligning himself with the faction that values the war story over the doubts raised by the gods' deception. (Chapters 314, 319, and 328)

The false Heracles

Ares pilots or directs the Giant Soldier presented as Heracles and hides his own Stories inside the manufactured hero. Kim Dokja exposes him, and the fake Heracles's evolving Story turns hostile through Enemy of the War God. The spear follows Ares despite his evasive movement and wounds him, showing that a story created as propaganda can acquire enough agency to oppose its maker. (Chapters 330–332)

Defeat and return

Yoo Joonghyuk drives the Black Heavenly Demon Sword through Ares's heart, forcing his incarnation body to withdraw and granting the victors a story for defeating the war god. This is not his final death: Ares later stands with Olympus against the Dragon of Revelation and again raises his sword when Kim Dokja's Company reaches Olympus's forces in the Final Scenario. (Chapters 332, 405, and 499)

Appearance and personality

Ares conceals his incarnation body inside the Giant Soldier Heracles until Kim Dokja calls him out, after which his own voice answers from the machine. Wounded and finally stabbed through the heart, he responds not with surrender but a promise to repay the debt, preserving his proud and vindictive posture even as his body turns grey and withdraws. (Chapters 330–332)

Abilities, attributes, and stories

Ares combines a war-god's army and Status with control of a manufactured giant hero; his later return shows that defeat of an incarnation body is not extinction.

War-god Status

As one of Olympus's twelve leading gods, Ares commands soldiers and projects a powerful war story. His Status supports large-scale warfare, but the corpus does not isolate a single named sword technique or quantify its range. (Chapters 314, 328, and 499)

Giant Soldier control

Ares fights from within the manufactured Heracles, supplying it with constellation Stories and using its body as cover. The arrangement provides enormous scale, but it is vulnerable when observers identify the hidden rider and when Heracles's own accumulated story rejects its creator. (Chapters 330–332)

Incarnation-body withdrawal

A fatal wound to his incarnation body forces Ares out of the scenario rather than destroying his constellation existence. Recovery lets him manifest again later, although the time, Probability, and other conditions for restoration are not stated. (Chapters 332 and 405)
