White Dragon Blade

The White Dragon Blade is Chun Yeowun's signature white blade, forged from the severed horn recovered in the Demon Seal Cave. Together with the black Sky Demon Sword, it forms the contrasting pair later associated with him.

History

Forging the White Blade

After leaving the cave with a white dragon-serpent horn, Yeowun entrusts it to academy blacksmith Ou Sunong. Ordinary weapons cannot mark the material. Sunong forges it into a blade and engraves its name near the hilt, while Yeowun chooses the name to honor the creature that failed to become a dragon. (Chapters 119, 124, and 127)

Academy and Cult Conflicts

The blade replaces Yeowun's shattered Butterfly Dance weapon. Its durability and purity let it survive Baek Oh's poison and become Yeowun's regular weapon through the succession struggle, his journey through Yulin, and the Imperial Palace conflict. (Chapters 128–131, 217, and 305)

Cold against the Qilin Flame

The blade repeatedly manifests intense cold qi. In the Qilin chamber, its cold counterbalances heat that centuries of ice could not suppress, allowing Yeowun to manage the consequences of absorbing the Flame Qilin Core. (Chapter 368)

Abilities and properties

• Its horn-derived material is exceptionally dense, sharp, and resistant to damage. (Chapters 124, 127, and 128)
• It channels cold energy capable of freezing water and contesting supernatural flame. (Chapters 362 and 368)
• Yeowun can guide it remotely after reaching the level required for air-sword control. (Chapter 305)
