Imoogi Core

The Imoogi Core is the spirit core of the dragon serpent defeated by the founding Sky Demon. It remains bound to the Sky Demon Sword for centuries and connects that weapon's history to the later struggle over the five spirit beasts.

History

Sealed in the Sky Demon Sword

When Chun Yeowun touches the sword in the Demon Seal Cave, he experiences a vision of the founder beheading the corrupted dragon serpent and drawing its black essence into the blade. The true nature of that essence is not immediately explained. (Chapters 116–118)

Revelation of the Core

Chun Inji later identifies the Sky Demon Sword as the vessel containing the Imoogi Core. Yeowun presents both the sword and the core's possession as proof that he has already secured one of the five spirit-beast powers. (Chapter 434)

The Five-Core Union

Later accounts place the Imoogi Core among the five cores absorbed by Yeowun before his final confrontation with the future forces and the Blade God. (Chapters 416 and 482)

Abilities and properties

• Carries the spiritual energy of the Imoogi and can remain sealed within the transforming Sky Demon Sword. (Chapters 117 and 434)
• Contributes to the combined regeneration and internal-energy growth produced by the five cores. (Chapter 482)
