Siyrus

Siyrus is a powerful first-family direct descendant whose status lets him intimidate other students at the vampire descendants' camp. His jealousy of Rokene and fixation on humiliating Quinn ultimately provoke a fatal response from Quinn's uncontrolled familiar. (Chapters 416–425)

Biography

Humiliating Rokene and confronting Quinn

Siyrus and two friends kill Rokene's black-rabbit familiar and take its crystal because Siyrus envies how easily Rokene communicates with it and how Instructor Clark praises him. Siyrus initially relies on his reputation to deny the accusation, but Quinn's influence forces him to sit, confess, and explain his motive before the other descendants. Once released, Siyrus attacks Quinn from behind; Clark stops the blow and confiscates the crystal, while Siyrus conceals the influence incident from the instructor out of embarrassment. (Chapters 416–417)

The loss of control leaves Siyrus anxious whenever he sees Quinn. Although he avoids Quinn for the following week, he has his friends investigate the stranger's family and waits for an opportunity to retaliate. During the death-bat assessment, the trio follows Quinn and Rokene, steals their kill with a final blood swipe, and claims the crystal under the letter of Clark's rules. Siyrus intends the act to repay his humiliation even though he senses that provoking Quinn may be a grave mistake. (Chapters 418 and 422–423)

Quinn briefly wishes the trio dead, and the Boneclaw—acting without an explicit command Quinn can retract—kills all three in a single strike. Rokene identifies Siyrus as one of the first family's strongest direct descendants and warns that his death will bring pursuit. Siyrus does not reappear after the killing; Chapter 425 discusses him as already dead. (Chapters 424–425)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not supply a stable description of Siyrus's hair, eyes, build, or clothing. He is proud, jealous, and accustomed to privileges that other descendants lack, using two companions and his first-family status to pressure weaker students. His anxiety after Quinn's influence shows that the humiliation affects him deeply, but he chooses retaliation rather than withdrawal. (Chapters 416–423)

Powers and abilities

Direct-descendant vampire abilities

Siyrus is considered one of the strongest first-family direct descendants and the student closest to evolving to the next vampire stage. He has exceptional vampire speed and strength, launching himself hard enough to tear up the ground, and can perform a blood swipe larger than Rokene's that decapitates an already wounded death bat. (Chapters 417 and 423–424)

His status does not protect him from a much stronger vampire's influence: direct eye contact lets Quinn compel him despite his attempt to resist. He also cannot survive the Boneclaw's surprise strike. The corpus never shows his first-family ability, familiar, completed evolution, Qi, or any further technique before his death. (Chapters 417 and 424)

  • Rokene: Siyrus envies Rokene's success with familiars, kills his rabbit, and later steals his death-bat kill. (Chapters 416–417 and 423)
  • Quinn: Quinn exposes Siyrus's actions through influence. Siyrus's attempt at revenge provokes the thought that the Boneclaw turns into a fatal attack. (Chapters 416–424)
  • Clark: Clark stops Siyrus from attacking Quinn, confiscates the stolen familiar crystal, and later investigates the deaths as the camp's instructor and Vampire Knight. (Chapters 417 and 425)
