Pam

Pam is the Blade family's Temple leader, responsible for overseeing children trained to copy abilities and for administering the lethal Event that selects survivors. She detects Peter's infiltration and fights him with copied wind and earth powers, but a stray wind slash fatally wounds her during the children's revolt. Peter raises her as a lesser Wight for the escape, and the construct is destroyed on the beach. (Chapters 626–668)

Biography

Running the Temple and serving the castle

Pam reports the Temple children's progress to Hilston and manages the institution in which they are isolated, trained, and eventually forced into a death match. She removes Sil from the Temple when the castle claims him as family, and later returns to direct operations after Bubble's handling of events becomes inadequate. Pam also advises the castle on useful outside alliances, including the value of the Green family, showing that her authority extends beyond classroom instruction. Discovering the rescue operation

Pam meets Logan as a potential collaborator and reveals that an outside force, not the Blades themselves, has been erasing public knowledge of the family. At the Temple she becomes suspicious of Peter's cover, watches him through invisible staff, and catches him transforming into Vorden to encourage the children to revolt. Her refusal to accuse without evidence makes the discovery deliberate, but once certain, she uses the teachers and chained ability users to try to kill him. (Chapters 649–660)

Peter's regeneration defeats the teachers' attempt to disable him. Deal and the other children rise against the institution, and Peter knocks Pam unconscious after condemning the adults for creating the violence they now fear. Lesser Wight during the escape

Peter turns Pam's dead or dying body into a lesser Wight and uses her as a silent scout at the beach. He can direct the Wight, but it retains no demonstrated independent speech or restored personal agency. Vorden later gives it the blood flask so Quinn's Bloodsucker will pursue the disposable decoy; the attack destroys Pam's body, which is confirmed dead in Chapter 668. False early name hit

Chapter 297 does not feature Pam. Fex shouts “Go on Pam” while Sam is playing a game, and Vorden immediately corrects the name to Sam. Pam's first source-grounded appearance is therefore Chapter 626. (Chapters 297 and 626)

Appearance and personality

Pam is an older, middle-aged woman who presents herself with composed authority; the corpus does not consistently establish her hair, height, or clothing. She is direct, politically alert, and confident enough to receive Logan without standing. She prefers evidence before accusation and quickly adapts in combat, but treats the Temple's lethal system as normal and ultimately calls the resisting children monsters despite having trained them for death. Blade copying and stored abilities

Pam can copy abilities from Chained people by touch and hold at least two at once. During the Temple fight she uses earth pillars and walls to intercept Peter's attacks and wind slices to cut his body. She commits her available MC cells to a deep wind strike through his leg, demonstrating strong output but also a finite reserve. The copied powers do not solve Peter's regeneration, and the source does not state Pam's exact maximum number of simultaneously stored abilities. (Chapters 654, 660–661)

Lesser Wight state

After her fatal wound, Peter raises Pam as a lesser Wight. The body can scout, obey simple instructions, and move without speech, but its actions are subordinate to Peter's commands.
