Lexor
Lexor is a Durum demon general who administers a hunting ground where demons kill Skully captives for rank. He recognises the danger posed by Quinn more quickly than his subordinates, but loses his force and becomes Quinn's captive source of information. (Chapters 2375–2383)
Biography
Responding to the collapse of the hunting game
Lexor monitors the hunters through individual trackers and a ranking system. When high-ranked names begin disappearing, he suspends the hunt, sends the Yak demon Kilbog to kill any non-Durum target, recalls the remaining demons, and informs the demon king. Kilbog's death and a survivor's escape convince Lexor that the attacker deliberately followed that survivor back to camp, but the warning comes too late to prevent Quinn's clone from arriving. (Chapters 2375–2376)
During the first battle, Lexor orders the unpractised Durums to avoid striking one another and uses curved crystal fire to bypass the clone's shadow defence. He waits for an opening, drives a crystallised hand through the clone's chest, and believes he has killed it when the body vanishes. While organising the dead, he studies why the highest-ranked fighters died—confidence made them face the blood swords rather than shelter behind their crystal backs. (Chapters 2377 and 2379)
Defeat and interrogation
The real Quinn returns and redirects the Durums' own projectiles through shadow portals, leaving Lexor as the only survivor. Quinn cripples his knee, destroys one foot, and uses blood shock to force information from him. Knowing that both Quinn and his own superiors can kill him, Lexor explains that ambient dead energy slightly strengthens inhabitants but can be freely controlled only by the demon kings and Immortui. Lexor is still alive in the camp when Kronker arrives; the ensuing battle begins without establishing his later fate. (Chapters 2379 and 2382–2383)
Appearance and personality
Lexor is a Durum demon with more red crystal covering his body than ordinary members of his race. Long, heavy crystal formations extend from his back, although his strength lets him move without appearing burdened. He is experienced, observant, and capable of revising tactics, but remains complicit in the hunting game and fears punishment from his demon king more than the deaths of its victims. (Chapters 2375–2379)
Powers and abilities
Durum crystal body
Lexor's crystallised back blocks stray shards, and he can crystallise a hand into a piercing weapon strong enough to destroy Quinn's clone on contact. Like other Durums, he can fire red crystal shards; his greater control lets him curve them around a shadow barrier toward a target. The hard shell is effective against blood swords when used defensively, but Quinn's real attacks break his knee and remove his foot with little resistance. (Chapters 2377–2382)
Ambient dead energy naturally gives Lexor a slight physical boost, but he states that ordinary demons cannot control it as demon kings can. The corpus shows no further evolution, regeneration of the lost limb, or named technique after his capture. (Chapters 2382–2383)
