Jared

Jared is a talented first-family vampire student whose competitiveness with Minny develops into respect and a promise to protect the Talen family. A temporary mark used for communication with Magnus later becomes Immortui's route into Jared's body, and Jared dies during actions the possessing entity controls. (Chapters 2018–2104 and 2305–2313)

Biography

Rivalry, secrecy, and service

Jared is several school years older than Minny and counted with Hebe among the academy's leading students. He volunteers to search for missing students, sees evidence of Minny's unusual aura during the beast incident, and promises to keep what he and Hebe learn secret. Curiosity and pride nevertheless push him to challenge the much younger Minny later, even threatening disclosure to make her fight seriously. (Chapters 2018–2048 and 2061–2067)

Minny overwhelms him, and Jared apologises, insisting that he would not actually have betrayed her. The defeat turns rivalry into admiration: he suggests that he might serve her and is selected for instruction by Magnus. During that training Jared improves his senses and accepts a temporary mark that lets Magnus communicate orders, including the final direction to protect the Talen family. (Chapters 2066–2104 and 2307)

Possession and death

When Jared is later questioned, he truthfully explains the training and mark, and classmates defend his character. Immortui then takes control through the mark and makes Jared attack Minny, using Jared's body and voice while suppressing his agency. Immortui ultimately cuts Jared's throat through the possessed body; Quinn cannot save him, and Minny mourns him. The attack and suicide-like wound therefore belong causally to Immortui's possession, not to a voluntary reversal of Jared's loyalty. (Chapters 2305–2313)

Appearance and personality

Jared is a male teenage vampire, older than Minny by roughly four school grades. The corpus gives no stable detailed description of his hair, eyes, or clothing. He is talented, proud, and provocative enough to pressure Minny into a serious match, but he is also honest when questioned, keeps dangerous secrets after promising to do so, and accepts defeat without lasting resentment. Powers and abilities

Vampire physiology and blood-aura sword

Jared has a vampire student's enhanced body, senses, blood aura, and healing. He condenses blood aura into a sword and produces cutting attacks that can extend beyond the blade's immediate reach. Training under Magnus further sharpens his hearing and awareness. His student-level healing does not save him from the catastrophic throat wound inflicted during possession. (Chapters 2063–2072, 2104, and 2311)

First-family cutting ability

Jared's first-family ability is especially effective with a sword. It creates cuts or a cutting field that destroys incoming blood slashes and lets him attack at a distance beyond the visible blade. The exact medium and maximum range are not explained, so the effect should not be described as literal invisible blades with certainty. Stronger combined Qi and blood power can break through his defence, as Minny demonstrates, and using vampire techniques consumes MC cells. (Chapters 2063–2067)

Temporary communication mark

Magnus's temporary mark allows remote mental contact and orders; it is not Jared's innate power. Immortui later exploits it to possess him, move his body, speak through him, and force fatal actions. Jared never demonstrates control of that possession, and the mark's final use ends with his death rather than a mastered upgrade. (Chapters 2307–2311)

Relationships

• Minny: Jared moves from competitive curiosity to respect after Minny defeats him. He keeps her secrets and accepts an order to protect her family, making the possessed attack a violation of his established loyalty. (Chapters 2018–2104 and 2305–2313)
• Hebe: Hebe is Jared's fellow high-performing student and search partner. Their shared evidence about Minny remains confidential, and Hebe later argues that Jared is a good person. (Chapters 2018–2048 and 2305–2308)
• Magnus: Magnus selects and trains Jared, improves his senses, and uses the temporary mark for communication. The same channel is later hijacked by Immortui. (Chapters 2072, 2104, and 2307–2311)
• Immortui: Immortui possesses Jared through the mark, attacks Minny with his body, and inflicts the wound that kills him. Their actions and identities remain distinct. (Chapters 2308–2311)
