Erlen

Erlen is an academy student who uses his family's economic influence and his ice ability to bully Venus and Swin. Quinn's intervention strips away that protection, and Erlen responds by admitting fault, rejecting his former school allies, and sacrificing a tournament victory in an attempt to repair the harm to his family. Biography

Bullying under family protection

Erlen threatens Venus through the company employing Venus's father and physically attacks both Venus and Swin, confident that his family and the Earthborn command structure will shield him. Sil and the other new students injure him while stopping the abuse. At the resulting disciplinary meeting, Erlen's father tries to turn those injuries into punishment for the weaker class, only for Quinn's authority as Hardy to force both father and son to face consequences they had always avoided. (Chapters 963–968)

Apology and tournament forfeit

After his parents lose their positions, Erlen becomes withdrawn and begins resisting Zhen's attempts to continue the same hierarchy. In the beast-weapon event he defeats the Graylash opponent, then refuses to exploit Venus's fear: he forfeits, apologises, and asks only that Venus seek help restoring his parents to the company they built. Quinn accepts that the request is for them rather than Erlen's own status. When classmates accuse him of selfishness, Erlen answers that abandoning fake friends is part of correcting his conduct. (Chapters 989–1003)

Erlen is later still present with the academy group and identifies a blood-related effect, but the corpus gives no further account of whether Venus accepted the apology, whether his parents returned, or how his change endured outside school. He is alive at his final appearance. (Chapters 1013–1017)

Appearance and personality

Erlen is a male student with strong shoulders who commonly carries a beast sword at his left side. After his family loses influence, his eyes look dead and his former confidence disappears. He begins cruel and calculating about which powerful people he may safely offend, but unlike some abusers he acknowledges responsibility once consequences reach him and accepts humiliation to ask for his parents' welfare. Ice ability

Erlen freezes objects and people through contact, rapidly icing Zhen's arm, making an opponent's spear heavier, and fixing a defeated student to the ground. The ability has a favourable elemental interaction against Venus's water, although Erlen forfeits before that matchup is tested. No maximum range, numerical level, or later ice transformation is supplied. (Chapters 990 and 994)

Sword and physical combat

Erlen uses a beast sword to parry a spear, attack with the flat, and combine close strikes with freezing contact. He defeats the Graylash-house student decisively but is stopped by the referee before striking the frozen body again. The weapon supports his style without being a configured signature item, and the corpus shows no soul weapon or Qi mastery. (Chapter 994)

Relationships

• Venus: Erlen bullies Venus through violence and threats against his father's employment. He later defeats another opponent for him, forfeits their match, apologises, and asks for help repairing the consequences to his own parents. (Chapters 963–994)
• Swin: Swin is another target of Erlen's school abuse. Erlen's punishment helps break the atmosphere that kept Swin and the weak class compliant. (Chapters 963–1003)
• Quinn: Quinn, acting as Hardy, ends the institutional protection behind Erlen's behaviour. He later recognises Erlen's apology as a genuine first attempt to change. (Chapters 966–994)
