Cripe

Cripe, usually called Mr. Cripe, is the head teacher at Roland V's school. He investigates student violence, protects the school during a beast horde, and organises an event through which vampire-family leaders select young trainees. (Chapters 2021–2063)

Biography

Handling the first-day assault

Cripe responds to Tobi's severe injuries by sending him to the infirmary and removing every involved student from lessons for individual statements. He insists on honesty, reconstructs that Minny acted to defend Abby but used excessive force, and proposes apologies without imposing further school punishment. His fear concerns retaliation from Tobi's Viscount parents, so he warns Quinn that the school can protect Minny inside its grounds but not her family outside. (Chapters 2021–2022)

When angry parents gather at the entrance, Cripe maintains that the school—not the mob—will determine punishment. Teachers form a barrier, although Sonia manages to get past him and attack Quinn. The confrontation ends because Quinn overpowers her, not because Cripe defeats the parents, leaving the limit of his enforcement authority clear. (Chapter 2024)

Protecting and rebuilding the school community

During a beast horde, Cripe clears the open approach to the sports hall so students can reach safety, then gathers the classes and teachers into a shared defence. He is relieved when missing students return, accepts their account, and must address the loss caused by the attack. A student's belief that Cripe could not match Minny's feat is comparative speculation, not a measured limit on his strength. (Chapters 2040–2048)

Cripe later welcomes the leaders' investment in the next generation and hosts the school's first grand event. Though nervous, he projects instructions through crystal-powered speakers, explains that judgment includes perseverance and intelligence as well as strength, and adjusts the matches when he overhears the leaders' interest in Jared. Appearance and personality

Cripe is a male vampire whose dyed grey hair gives him an older style despite a face that appears to be in its late thirties. He is procedural, candid, and concerned with student safety, but also conscious that powerful families can exceed the school's authority. He remains composed enough to organise both an emergency defence and a public tournament. (Chapters 2021–2024 and 2040–2063)

As a vampire adult and teacher, Cripe has vampire physical traits and clears beasts from the students' route during the horde.
