Barbra

Barbra is the chief of Jessica's Vampire Corps department. Initially a trusted administrator who supports her captain through a murder investigation, she later reveals that she willingly aided Immortui in exchange for the promised return of people she had lost, and is killed while defending his portal operation. Biography

Running Jessica's department

Barbra commands enough respect to disperse a crowd around Andy with one order and manages the Corps base's captains and squads. She regards Jessica as one of her most trusted captains, places Quinn, Hikel, and Edvard in Jessica's team under Andy's instructions, and sends several squads as backup when the group confronts the Black Swan organisation. When Stacy and Gabe are murdered, Barbra personally gives Jessica the news and moves her into a controlled investigation. She balances procedure against concern: she initially bars the emotionally involved squad from the case, then lets Jessica search for missing Galanar when Quinn promises they will work together. Framing and covert assistance

After receiving evidence naming Jessica as the main suspect, Barbra issues a department-wide search order. Barbra is described as an older woman and Vampire Corps chief. During the portal operation she wears clawed beast gear on both hands and bears Immortui's marking on her head. She is authoritative, organised, protective of her personnel, and capable of difficult administrative decisions. Vampire physiology and blood aura

Barbra has the speed, strength, senses, healing, and blood-aura control expected of a senior Vampire Corps officer. She deflects Andy's sword strike with a blood-aura attack and later concentrates aura to erode his binding strings. Her family ability, evolution rank, Qi, soul weapon, and precise aura level are not stated. (Chapter 2352)

She is powerful enough that Andy treats her as a greater threat than mind-controlled rank-and-file vampires, but she cannot overpower his restraint. More strings replace those her aura withers, leaving her immobilised for the killing blow. (Chapter 2352)

Demon-tier claw gear

Barbra wears a demon-tier beast weapon formed as claws extending from both sets of knuckles. The claws glow red and radiate intense heat; her charge leaves flames behind, and a swing produces a spiral of fire that Andy blocks only while suffering a heated stab at his side. The gear therefore supports both close stabbing and projected flame. (Chapter 2352)
