Ten Thousand Immortals Formation Flags
The Ten Thousand Immortals Formation Flags are a 365-piece commercial set that reproduces a miniature defensive Ten Thousand Immortals Formation over a mobile deployment area. (Chapters 148–149)
History
Li Fan buys his first set from the Tianxuan Mirror for ten thousand contribution points to protect a site where he expects to build his foundation. He plants 364 auxiliary flags around the central Mingyue Lake island and controls them through the main flag, later supplementing the mobile defense with a stronger but immovable Spirit Illusory Wave Formation. In another life he purchases a backup set and gives it to He Xinxin for self-defense. (Chapters 148–149, 153, 251)
Li Fan later sends a separate set through an altar to Su Xiaomei and Zhang Haobo, alongside teleportation necklaces and disguised monitoring talismans. The flags are explicitly intended to improve the two young cultivators' survival prospects during their expedition, so custody passes to the travelers even though Li Fan remains the provider and strategic beneficiary. (Chapter 279)
Description and function
The full set contains one black-and-yellow main flag, about half a person's height and marked “Ten Thousand Immortals,” plus 364 auxiliary flags sensed and coordinated through it. With every component deployed, the miniature formation can cover an area up to thirty miles across. Because it can be packed and redeployed, it is suited to temporary bases and travel protection. (Chapters 148–149)
Abilities and limitations
Full defensive formation
All 365 flags form a barrier advertised as unbreakable even by a Golden Core-perfection cultivator. Within Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance territory, the enclosed area is also formally considered under Alliance protection, so an unprovoked attacker becomes a Martial Hall target. That legal deterrent depends on jurisdiction and is why the listing does not recommend deployment outside Alliance territory. (Chapter 148)
Rapid partial deployments
The controller can deploy variants using thirty-six, seventy-two, or one hundred eight flags. Fewer flags reduce defensive strength but make setup much faster, providing a practical emergency configuration for travelers. The full set remains weaker than Li Fan's later immovable Spirit Illusory Wave Formation, which is advertised against mid-Nascent Soul attacks. (Chapters 149, 153)
Custody and users
Li Fan buys and operates the original Mingyue Lake set. Separate branch purchases are gifts or mission equipment: He Xinxin receives a backup set outright for self-defense, while Su Xiaomei and Zhang Haobo jointly receive another through Li Fan's altar. References to “the flags” across repeated lives therefore need not describe one physically continuous set. (Chapters 149, 251, 279)
