Zhou Peng
Zhou Peng is a well-informed Congyun cultivator whose intelligence contacts and unusually large investments make others trust Li Fan's apparent Heavenly Mechanism opportunity. (Chapters 77, 445–459, 563)
Biography
Stalking Shadow Technique
Zhou Peng first corrects speculation about Li Fan's dragonwhale kill by relaying the Hall of Heavenly Secrets' finding that other sea giants had already inflicted most of the damage. In a later life he becomes the largest outside contributor to He Zhenghao's investment plan, repeatedly committing sums far beyond ordinary Foundation Establishment means. His relationship with Elder Gongsun and reputation for inside information convince additional cultivators that the scheme cannot be fraudulent. The gamble pays spectacularly: the later repayment list credits Zhou with eight hundred thousand contribution points, showing how information, confidence, and social proof define his arc more than combat. (Chapters 77, 445–459, 563)
Appearance and personality
No stable face, clothing, age, or physique is supplied. Zhou is confident in privileged information, dismissive of baseless crowd speculation, and unusually willing to risk nearly his entire fortune when he judges an opportunity credible. His behavior suggests calculated conviction rather than blind generosity. (Chapters 77, 445–459)
Abilities and cultivation
The corpus identifies Zhou Peng as a Foundation Establishment cultivator but gives no named personal combat art. The chapter title “Stalking Shadow Technique” does not establish that technique as his. His demonstrated advantages are information gathering through Heavenly Secrets Hall contacts, investment judgment, and a reputation strong enough to influence other participants. (Chapters 77, 445–459)
Relationships
He Zhenghao is Zhou's investment-circle associate and conduit to Li Fan's plan. Gongsun Qixuan is the Heavenly Secrets Hall elder whose connection explains Zhou's information advantage. Li Fan recognizes Zhou's repeated confidence but interacts with him primarily through the investment structure rather than a sustained personal partnership. (Chapters 445–459, 563)
Items
- Contribution-point capital: Zhou supplies fifty thousand points in one recruitment and later receives an eight-hundred-thousand-point return. These are invested funds and profits, not a named artifact. (Chapters 445, 455, 563)
- Dragonwhale analysis: Zhou relays the Heavenly Secrets Hall report but does not own the carcass or the institution's analytical records. (Chapter 77)
