Biography

The Holy Dynasty Reveals Its Portents

Sun Ang discovers a Spirit of Heaven and Earth beneath the Luojia Mountains and spends three isolated years wearing it down before integrating with it and becoming an Immortal Sage. Generations of Sun-family Guardian Hall service then make him an acceptable candidate to guard the Derivation Law Jade. Li Fan targets precisely this combination of realm, ancestry, and access, taking Sun Ang's body and reconstructing his memories to pass headquarters scrutiny. The figure who returns to Wu Ninglu, converses with Sun Luyuan, and carries out later infiltration is therefore Li Fan acting as Sun Ang, not evidence of the original man's independent choices. Sun Ang's personal success becomes the credential used to erase his agency. (Chapters 1137–1141, 1156, and 1235–1239)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not preserve a reliable neutral portrait of the original Sun Ang; later observers see Li Fan using his body. His own three-year pursuit of the heavenly spirit demonstrates patience and resolve, but behavior after the possession cannot safely establish Sun Ang's personality or loyalties. Dao Integration with a heavenly spirit

Sun Ang traps and exhausts a Spirit of Heaven and Earth over three years before using it to attain Dao Integration. The demonstrated preparation is prolonged and location-dependent, and no named personal combat art is preserved before his identity is taken. (Chapter 1137)

Guardian Hall qualifications

His family's long service and his clean background grant access to the Derivation Law Jade assignment. This is institutional eligibility rather than a supernatural ability, and Li Fan later exploits it through impersonation. (Chapters 1137–1138)

Relationships

  • Wu Ninglu is Sun Ang's arranged Dao companion; their poor relationship predates Li Fan's possession.
  • Sun Tianci is the child conceived from Sun Ang's body, though most of the pregnancy develops after the identity theft.
