Qin Tang

Qin Tang is the white-clad Chief of the Cloud Water Sect's Teaching Hall, encountered by later explorers as an anomalous examiner who disciplines entrants and rewards those who pass his trials.

Biography

Chief of the Teaching Hall

Qin Tang appears within the Cloud Water Heavenly Palace as the preserved authority of the Teaching Hall. He treats intruders as disciples subject to sect discipline, sometimes beheading those who violate the hall's rules before setting tests of focus, courage, and perseverance. Li Fan studies the anomaly across cycles and discovers that performance can produce different technique rewards, including the Cloud Water Illusory Dream Art or the Canghai Wave Treading method. Qin's recurring conduct is structured rather than conversationally free, supporting the conclusion that visitors face a statue-like or anomalous remnant of the ancient chief, not proof that the original man survived the sect's destruction as an ordinary living cultivator. Appearance and personality

Qin Tang wears white and presents the severe bearing of a sect instructor. He is exacting, punitive, and unsympathetic to excuses, but the trial is not arbitrary: entrants who demonstrate the qualities he demands receive instruction.
