Biography

Black Sword recognition and true cultivation foundation

Li Fan created Li Qing from the essence blood of Su Yuqing, an incarnation of a small world's Heavenly Dao, and deliberately edited the resulting soul. Li Qing retained no memory of Truth and believed himself to be the damaged creation of an awakened Sleeping Dharma King. In that history, he owed a debt to the Xuantian King, had gathered minor worlds into the Federation of All Worlds, and existed to rebuild the Xuantian Sect. The story was manufactured, but his loyalty, purpose, and sense of self within it were genuine. Li Fan named the male-bodied, female-faced clone only after he awoke. (Chapter 902)

Li Qing began at Golden Core perfection because a clone formed one major realm below the original, but this was only a cultivation shell. He possessed neither the Foundation Establishment treasure nor the Golden Core laws that would make the realm authentic. Li Fan placed him beside the unremarkable Black Sword in the Sword Tomb, where Li Qing spent roughly a year feeding it Sword Dao insight. The work served two purposes at once: it accelerated the sword's maturation into a Heavenly Wonder and gave the otherwise hollow clone a chance to win a foundation of his own rather than merely inherit a false level. The Black Sword rejected nearly every non-sword principle Li Qing offered until it accepted Simplicity: hiding the edge, preserving plainness, and winning without ostentatious attack. He then endured three months of tempting sword illusions without breaking concentration, drew the blade, and merged it into his dantian as a Dao Foundation. In a single linked transformation he formed a black Sword Dao Golden Core, shattered it, and let its fragments consume and reconstruct his flesh into a Sword Cave Heaven. He emerged at early Nascent Soul with exceptional combat quality, but also sensed that further advancement would provoke the full malice of heaven. (Chapters 916–917)

Five Elders infiltration and One-Heart ordeal

Li Qing's new cultivation was immediately subordinated to his mission. He crossed into Five Elders territory to retrieve Xuantian methods from the One-Heart Heavenly Sovereign, using the Black Sword foundation's concealment and low-resistance sword-light travel to bypass defenses. In Yilü Prefecture he found Wan Zailai challenging stronger cultivators for entry into the One-Heart Immortal Sect. Li Qing entered the arena, refused to use his Cave Heaven, and made Wan Zailai's myriad sword techniques bow, reverse direction, and attack their creator. He then gathered those arts behind his Black Sword and shattered the Heavenly Sovereign's arena to demand an audience. (Chapters 917–919)

The apparent audience became a false decade. Li Qing awoke inside a fabricated Grand Dao Sect life as a low-level cultivator tied to Zhao Ruoxi, and the illusion subjected him to humiliation, bodily mutilation, ambition, intimacy, and a rise through methods such as the Reversing Order Scripture. He appeared to reach peak Dao Integration and become entangled with multiple branches of the sect, but contradictions accumulated until he recognized the dream's structure and helped force its collapse. None of those years, relationships, or realm advances belong to his actual progression. Their importance lies in how Zhao Ruoxi tested, tempted, and studied an identity whose own remembered past was already artificial. (Chapters 919–924)

Back in the true Grand Dao Sect, Myriad Voices nearly tore Li Qing apart, but the Black Sword preserved his remaining structure. He confronted One-Heart with an unknown entity sealed inside a seven-colored sphere in his soul and with golden willpower supplied from outside her restrictions, persuading her that the Xuantian legacy remained dangerous. She gave him the Secret Canon of Sitting in Oblivion and the Three Perils of Ghosts and Spirits in the Netherworld Record, then offered a more personal test; Li Qing answered by drawing his sword. On his escape, the Realm of Truth forced him to reveal his identity, and he killed three blockers before a Sky-Patrolling Arrow pierced him near home. Li Fan's needle treatment extracted the corrosive gray power before it destroyed the Sword Cave Heaven. (Chapters 925–928)

Intelligence work and postwar reconnaissance

The war left the Five Elders Association's spy network fragmented, so Li Qing could not simply report to an established contact. He continued alone into Fanqing Prefecture and claimed to represent the Federation of All Worlds. When a cautious middle-level cultivator refused him, Li Qing appealed to ambition, the vacancies left by the fighting, and the impossibility that an Alliance spy would approach from a position of apparent defeat. The pressure worked: the contact returned, and Li Qing's calm under encirclement by more than a hundred armored cultivators earned enough provisional trust for him to meet Qing Yang, who was rebuilding the intelligence service. Li Qing traded only information valuable enough to secure answers. He revealed that all thirty-three Chosen Immortals had died, temporarily limiting the Ten Thousand Immortal Alliance's ability to summon the Immortal Ancestor's manifestation, while asking why both powers had fought over the so-called Immortal Alliance relic. Qing Yang disclosed that it consisted of the soul fragments and remains of first-generation Dharma-Transmitters. Li Qing also probed the recovery of the Five Heavenly Sovereigns and mentioned his acquaintance with One-Heart, but withdrew when Qing Yang's hostility made clear that further pressure would jeopardize the exchange. He left with a new contact route rather than trying to turn a successful meeting into a reckless confrontation. (Chapters 937–938)

On the return journey, Li Qing expanded the mission into direct reconnaissance of Carefree Paradise's postwar methods. He watched armored cultivators project an entire destroyed city from illusion into reality, then waited six days for a warship to return its apparently sleeping inhabitants. After infiltrating the restored city and examining a controlled resident, he confirmed that the people were living beings rather than constructs and had resumed their former lives without understanding the interruption. The discovery changed his assessment of the war: the Five Elders Association had suffered military defeat, yet Carefree Paradise could reconstruct territory and population so completely that “defeat” did not carry its ordinary finality. Lingyuan and Vital Essence mass-cultivation experiment

The Federation's expansion created a practical problem: too many prospective cultivators and too few mutually compatible methods. Li Qing captured a surviving Lingyuan Sect disciple so that he and Li Fan could investigate the Vital Essence Technique of All Living Beings, whose collective speed increased with every practitioner. Li Qing initially could not enter the method despite his aptitude. Examination revealed that knowledge of the text was insufficient; cultivation required a complex Lingyuan imprint physically branded into flesh. Once Li Qing engraved a reconstructed imprint into his own body, the authentication barrier disappeared and he could begin practicing. (Chapters 977–978)

The imprint also rebuilt a dead disciple's flesh into a mindless puppet that cultivated continuously, exposing how the Lingyuan Sect had scaled its method. Under Li Fan's orders, Li Qing created more such bodies and captured low-level Foundation Establishment cultivators across several prefectures so the disappearances would not concentrate in one place. More than five hundred puppets soon cultivated together, while Li Qing organized the spread of the method through small worlds made habitable by Heaven-and-Earth Furnaces. He became the operational center of an assembly line that produced cultivators, source power, and expendable personnel for the Federation's exploration projects. (Chapters 978–979, 1014)

Once more than a million beings practiced the method, Li Qing chose to cultivate it personally to Nascent Soul in hopes of understanding and eventually reproducing its hidden design. The network immediately returned its accumulated cultivation to the highest-realm practitioner. A million streams struck at once, exploding his body and nearly crushing even the Black Sword Cave Heaven. Li Fan stabilized the Cave Heaven, and the reduced continuing influx reconstructed Li Qing near the main body's power, but the gain carried a standing danger: unless the receiving capacity expanded or excess cultivation was diverted, unending accumulation could burst him apart again. The event also let him sense the Lingyuan Sect's deeply concealed cultivation store. (Chapters 1008–1009)

Seeking Hidden and shared-comprehension research

Li Qing subsequently took responsibility for turning the Federation's mass-produced cultivators into historical researchers. Early Foundation Establishment volunteers sent toward the blood-colored River of Time simply died of old age before retrieving anything useful, so he concluded that Golden Core was the minimum practical starting point. He oversaw pill-forced advancement, prepared the Chaoyuan Sect as a route for collective Nascent Soul breakthroughs, and accepted responsibility for the dangerous tests. The program treated human lives as resources, but it also built incentives, advancement paths, and public honors that made service within the Seeking the Hidden department socially transformative for people such as Ji Ling. The first successful recovered scene showed an ancient inter-world gathering at which the future Xuantian King was still an unremarkable attendant. Li Fan declined to appear publicly, instead having Li Qing award Ji Ling a strand of the lethal red-string treasure and a true Soul Transformation method before more than a thousand Seeking the Hidden cultivators. Li Qing thus acted as commander, doctrinal representative, and gatekeeper to power. The position moved him well beyond the narrow role of a combat clone: he managed personnel, transmitted rewards, and converted recovered history into renewed faith in the Federation's hidden True Immortal patron. For the final research phase, Li Qing achieved minor success in the Heaven and Earth Converging Manual and used it to equalize talent and comprehension with more than ten controlled prodigies. The arrangement was reciprocal enough that the targets received half of his enhancement, yet they did not understand the true purpose of their “secret missions.” Their combined aptitude raised Li Qing's comprehension to an unprecedented level and let him study imitations of the True Immortal characters Chaos, Hunger, and Nothingness. He even sensed that Li Fan had excised some of his memories, but continued the task because he regarded clone and original as a shared self. Chapter 1136 later fixes his endpoint at peak Nascent Soul, one step from surpassing the original body. (Chapter 1102; Chapter 1136, retrospective)

Appearance and personality

Li Qing has a male body and the female face inherited from Su Yuqing's essence blood. The source calls him exceptionally handsome and later presents him as a delicate, androgynous beauty who can appear younger than the opponents around him. His signature visual element is the plain Black Sword: its restrained surface reflects the Simplicity that enabled its maturation, while Li Qing himself can dissolve into black sword light or manifest a black-sword phantom behind him. He should not be visually conflated with Li Fan's later Holy Embryo bodies, which resemble the main body rather than Su Yuqing. (Chapters 902–903, 916, 918–919)

He is calm, proud, observant, and difficult to intimidate. In the Sword Tomb he withstands months of illusion without losing focus; in Yilü he deliberately answers Wan Zailai's arrogance with greater arrogance; and inside the Five Elders intelligence network he remains composed while surrounded by armored cultivators. Pride does not make him careless. After obtaining One-Heart's methods, he refuses an intimate entanglement with a Longevity Heavenly Sovereign because he recognizes that surviving an illusion does not make a real contest safe. Li Qing's loyalty is sincere but structurally compromised. He believes the Sleeping Dharma King's creation story, accepts the mission to restore Xuantian, and later recognizes that Li Fan has removed memories from him. Rather than rebel, he reasons that clone and original have no meaningful division and continues working. That response makes him highly disciplined, but it also shows the limit of his autonomy: his motivations were designed before he awoke. Even so, the judgment, courage, and curiosity with which he carries them out are his own, developing from swordsman into infiltrator, experimenter, and research commander. Abilities and cultivation

Li Qing follows a Heavenly Wonder sword path built on the Black Sword rather than an ordinary new-method progression. His clone construction, Sword Cave Heaven, collective-cultivation experiment, and shared-comprehension technique operate as distinct but interacting systems. The false Dao Integration life imposed by One-Heart is excluded from his actual abilities, and merely possessing the texts of other Xuantian methods does not prove that he mastered or used them. His last confirmed formal state is peak Nascent Soul in a retrospective, not Soul Transformation. (Chapters 902–928, 1008–1009, 1102, 1136)

Clone body and memory link

Li Fan created Li Qing as a clone one major realm below himself and retained a connection through which sensations and selected experiences could return to the original. The link supports coordination, intelligence transfer, and treatment: Li Fan can recognize Li Qing's crisis, analyze border formations for him, receive information obtained inside the Five Elders Association, and treat damage with precise knowledge of the clone's body. Li Qing nevertheless thinks and decides locally rather than behaving as a remote-controlled shell. (Chapters 902–903, 927–928, 937–938)

The connection is deliberately incomplete. Li Fan removes memories of Truth, plants a false Xuantian origin, and can decline portions of the clone's experience rather than absorbing everything indiscriminately. By Chapter 1102, Li Qing's enhanced comprehension lets him sense that some memories were cut away, but he does not recover their content. The clone arrangement therefore gives him operational independence without informed knowledge of his creation. Its latest confirmed result is a clone whose power approaches the original so closely that Chapter 1136 places him one step from surpassing it. (Chapters 902, 1102, 1136)

Black Sword Heavenly Wonder and Sword Cave Heaven

Li Qing acquires the Black Sword by nurturing it with Sword Dao and the accepted principle of Simplicity, then enduring the Sword Tomb's final illusions. The blade is not merely carried equipment. It dissolves into his dantian as Dao Foundation, becomes the law of his black Golden Core, and evolves into a Cave Heaven when that core explodes. His flesh, bones, spiritual energy, and Golden Core fragments are reconstructed around the sword pattern, making the resulting body and cultivation structure inseparable from the Wonder. The Sword Cave Heaven contains no ordinary ecosystem: it is a world of swords, filled with blades and intersecting sword qi, and cannot tolerate other living beings. Its quality lets Li Qing reform after his body is torn apart and gives an early Nascent Soul foundation capable of crushing an average Soul Transformation cultivator. It also survives the million-stream Vital Essence overload, though only barely and with Li Fan's assistance. This is exceptional realm-crossing combat quality, not evidence that his formal realm had already become Soul Transformation. (Chapters 916–917, 1008–1009)

The path has a severe world-level ceiling. Li Qing senses increasing heavenly malice after reaching Nascent Soul and understands that Soul Transformation or Dao Integration would require confronting the world's full backlash. His partial role in the Black Sword's birth softened the earlier steps, but did not remove that future opposition. The Sky-Patrolling Arrow exposes a second vulnerability: its gray power repeatedly destroys newly regenerated tissue and can corrode the Cave Heaven itself until Li Fan suppresses Li Qing's spiritual activity and draws the contamination out with silver needles. Sword submission, reversal, and sword-light movement

The Black Sword gives Li Qing authority over sword phenomena beyond ordinary technique exchange. Against Wan Zailai, he stops thousands of distinct sword arts, forces their points to bow, and reverses them against their caster. He then strengthens the captured arts around the Black Sword phantom and merges with the sword to break the arena. The scene establishes demonstrated suppression and redirection of sword methods; it does not establish automatic control over every sword or every opponent regardless of power. (Chapters 918–919)

Li Qing can transform into black sword light for travel and attack. Because the Heavenly Wonder belongs to Xuanhuang's own Dao, the movement meets very little resistance, consumes unusually little energy, and blends naturally into the environment. This helps him cross borders, evade routine observation, and kill the three cultivators who discover him in the Realm of Truth. Concealment is still fallible: altered Alliance formations mark his passage, and the associated Sky-Patrolling Arrow later follows that trace even after he believes he has escaped. His body-sword integration also changes tracking and recovery. Li Qing explains that his flesh and blood are integrated with Sword Dao, so blood left after the arrow strike cannot be followed in the ordinary way for thousands of miles. The same integration allows extensive physical reconstruction, but regeneration alone cannot purge specialized corrosion; new flesh simply breaks again until the gray power is medically extracted. His latest confirmed sword state remains the peak-Nascent-Soul Black Sword foundation reported in Chapter 1136. (Chapter 928; Chapter 1136, retrospective)

Vital Essence Technique of All Living Beings

The Vital Essence method is a collective cultivation system whose speed increases with the number of practitioners. Li Qing cannot begin merely by learning its words; he must engrave the Lingyuan flesh imprint that authenticates and operates the method. Once marked, he enters it easily and helps reproduce it through mindless flesh puppets and living cultivators across the small worlds. His practical role includes capture, body preparation, instruction, network expansion, and monitoring rather than only personal cultivation. (Chapters 977–979)

When Li Qing personally raises the method to Nascent Soul, the system identifies him as the highest-realm practitioner and sends him cultivation accumulated from more than a million participants. The influx destroys his body and strains the Black Sword Cave Heaven close to collapse before Li Fan stabilizes it. After the stored backlog is exhausted, the continuing flow becomes survivable and reconstructs him near the main body's level. This is the mechanism behind the manifest's network-cultivation reconstruction, not an independently named formal realm. (Chapters 1008–1009)

The continuing benefit is also a continuing hazard. Li Qing judges the accumulation “too much, too fast” and expects even Calamity Body storage to fail unless he advances or diverts the excess. The technique appears less like a benign shared school than a machine that extracts and concentrates practitioners' cultivation for a hidden purpose. Its hierarchy also lets Li Qing sense the Lingyuan Sect's underground cultivation reserve. The source does not establish that he solved the overload permanently or authored a safe replacement before the life ended. (Chapter 1009)

Heaven and Earth Converging Manual

Li Qing obtains the authentic Heaven and Earth Converging Manual from One-Heart's package of Xuantian methods. At its initial level, the method locks onto a target and forcibly shares or equalizes fortune, cultivation speed, comprehension, and other personal qualities. Its advantage is access to another person's aptitude; its explicit flaw is Conflict Sharing, through which the target can sense the practitioner. Li Fan therefore considers controlled or confined prodigies the practical targets rather than willing partners who might object or retaliate. (Chapters 927–929)

After minor success, Li Qing applies the Manual to more than ten prodigies gathered in Mountain River Pavilion. He draws upon their talent and comprehension while they receive half of his enhancement, a reciprocal effect that helps conceal the unequal purpose. The prodigies believe they are carrying out secret missions and attribute their improvement to another method. With the combined enhancement, Li Qing's comprehension becomes strong enough to perceive his own missing memories and to study imitations of True Immortal script at a level neither he nor Li Fan could reach alone. The method amplifies cognition; it does not grant the targets' cultivation realms or erase the need for study. Nor does the source show Li Qing reaching the theoretical stage of balancing himself against heaven and earth. His demonstrated latest use remains controlled group equalization for research into Chaos, Hunger, and Nothingness. That work broadens him from a sword specialist into a source of high-level deduction, but its results belong to a collaborative network created through coercion and hidden information. Li Fan

Li Fan is Li Qing's creator, original body, commander, healer, and hidden author of his identity. He supplies knowledge and protection, receives intelligence through the clone link, and trusts Li Qing with missions too dangerous for the main body. At the same time, he removes memories, implants the Sleeping Dharma King history, seals a dangerous deterrent in the clone's soul, and uses Li Qing's independent mind without revealing the full terms of that existence. Li Qing eventually perceives the excision but accepts their interests as one. (Chapters 902–903, 925–929, 1008–1009, 1102)

Zhao Ruoxi

Zhao Ruoxi, the One-Heart Heavenly Sovereign, is Li Qing's principal adversary and source of Xuantian knowledge. She places him inside a decade-long false life, attacks through Myriad Voices and innumerable faces, probes the sealed presence in his soul, and finally trades the desired methods after he proves the Xuantian remnant cannot be casually consumed. Her intimacy and temptation are instruments of control as much as personal interest. Li Qing's decision to answer with his sword preserves the mission and prevents an illusory entanglement from becoming a real one with a Longevity being. (Chapters 919–927)

Su Yuqing

Su Yuqing is the source of the essence blood used to create Li Qing, which accounts for his female face and exceptional compatibility as a clone. The corpus does not establish a conventional parent-child bond, mutual recognition, or sustained personal relationship between them. Treating her as his mother would therefore overstate a biological ingredient and erase the artificial nature of Li Fan's clone-making process. (Chapter 902)

Federation of All Worlds

Li Qing first believes he founded the Federation as part of the Sleeping Dharma King's Xuantian restoration plan, then serves as its operative reality under Li Fan. He represents it to Five Elders intelligence, spreads the Vital Essence system, leads cultivators into Chaoyuan, and publicly rewards Seeking the Hidden personnel. The Federation gives his implanted mission an institution through which to act, while his authority within it evolves from secret agent to commander of research and mass cultivation.
