Yan Danian's Comic

Yan Danian's Comic is notable because it serves the following role: a portable refuge and deployment medium for Chen Ge's spirit employees, created and inhabited by Yan Danian. Its importance comes from demonstrated use and custody rather than an assumed artifact rank.

History

Yan Danian creates the comic while alive by drawing ghosts no one else believes he can see. After his death, he remains bound to the work. Chen accepts and carries it after resolving the rental-room story, allowing its empty pages to become a portable home for spirits joining the House of Horrors. (Chapters 299–303)

Abilities and properties

• Houses many non-Red spirits within its pages and transports them between locations. (Chapters 303, 317–318, 332–377)
• Yan can use Spirit Drawing to draw Baleful Specters into the comic and later manifest drawn people or scenes. (Chapters 303, 553–555, 640–705)
• The exact capacity is never numbered, and powerful residents can exceed Yan’s confidence or original capture limits.

Ownership and custody

Yan Danian is the comic’s creator, resident artist, and controlling spirit. Chen carries it during operations, but the ghosts inside are employees and refugees rather than possessions. It remains active after the final battle. (Chapters 421–458, 640–709, 904–1211)
