Black Phone
Black Phone is notable because it serves the following role: central inherited device that issues missions, tracks employees, unlocks scenarios, and links the real Haunted House to the red city. Its importance comes from demonstrated use and custody rather than an assumed artifact rank.
History
Chen Ge finds the black phone with the childhood doll among his missing parents’ belongings. It activates when he considers closing the House of Horrors and immediately turns survival of the attraction into a sequence of missions, scenario unlocks, and employee records. The device remains in his custody even when particular door worlds block its signal or remove his access. (Chapters 1–4, 398, 761–768)
Abilities and properties
- Issues daily, nightmare, trial, and special missions with explicit deadlines and consequences. (Chapters 1–4, 25–44)
- Stores rewards that can manifest as physical objects, records spectral employees and affection, and unlocks scenarios or expansions. (Chapters 13, 25, 68, 303, 373)
- Kindness reveals that the phone contains its lingering spirit and part of the red city’s power; Demon God-level material repairs it after the hospital battle. (Chapters 1207–1208)
Ownership and custody
Chen Ge carries and operates the phone from Chapter 1. Its final revelations connect it to his mother’s protection and to the House of Horrors’ role between the ordinary world and the red city. It is repaired and returned to him before the closing chapters. (Chapters 1207–1211)
