Xu Zhenzhen

Xu Zhenzhen is the dead woman behind Tian Teng Medical School's fabricated ghost story—and the spirit that may have answered years of visitors and workers repeatedly invoking her name. She is unrelated to the child called Zhen Zhen who appears much later in the story. (Chapters 190–198)

Biography

A tragedy turned into an attraction

Tian Teng Medical School writes Xu Zhenzhen's name on patient costumes, mannequins, nursery props, and a note supposedly left by her father. Chen Ge reconstructs the attraction's premise from those clues: after her father died in his hospital, Xu Zhenzhen later returned there and took her own life, and the operators converted the real case into their signature mystery despite objections from her surviving sister. (Chapters 190–195)

The haunting answers back

The operators admit that visitors in Xing Hai repeatedly reported seeing a woman matching Xu Zhenzhen even where no actor was stationed. In Jiujiang, Chen Ge concludes that a real, apparently nonhostile spirit is possessing the female body prop near the entrance. The Tape Ghost finds her, forces a confrontation marked by overlapping screams, and leaves her ultimate condition unresolved when the encounter ends. (Chapters 195–198)

Appearance and personality

Xu Zhenzhen has no directly described living appearance in these chapters; the attraction constructs her image through a female corpse prop and an actor's performance. Reports that she had haunted Tian Teng without causing injuries suggest restraint rather than aggression, but the narrative does not give her direct dialogue or enough autonomous behavior for a fuller personality portrait. Skills and supernatural abilities

As a spirit, Xu Zhenzhen can remain attached to the female body prop and manifest strongly enough for visitors to see her independently of Tian Teng's actors. Chen Ge is unable to determine whether she is a lingering spirit or a Baleful Specter, and no named ability or formal advancement is established. (Chapters 195–198)

Relationships

Tian Teng's operators profit from Xu Zhenzhen's death while fearing the haunting their publicity may have summoned; her younger sister previously demanded that they remove the name and change the attraction. Chen Ge recognizes that the spirit has not attacked visitors and initially intends to leave her alone, but the Tape Ghost seeks her out before he can intervene. (Chapters 193–198)

The female body prop hanging near Tian Teng Medical School's entrance is identified as Xu Zhenzhen's object of possession. The attraction also distributes her name across patient uniforms, mannequins, a nursery blanket, a key pendant, photographs, newspaper clippings, and an audio recording, but these are staged clues rather than her personal possessions.
