Xiao Du is a member of Guo Miao's Tian Teng Medical School team. Although he has haunted-house work experience, he is highly vulnerable to isolation scares and quickly recognizes that Chen Ge's mannequins do not behave like ordinary props.

Biography

Tian Teng's failed challenge

Xiao Du enters the House of Horrors with Guo Miao, Song An, Han Qiuming, Ye Xiaoxin, and Su Luoluo after Chen Ge's visit damages Tian Teng's confidence. Walking at the back makes him the first to see the student mannequins move without sound. He repeatedly warns Han Qiuming not to provoke or dismantle them, then runs to inform the more reliable members when those warnings are ignored. His panic contributes to the group fragmenting, but his observations are substantially correct. During the final escape he becomes wedged in a tunnel with Su Luoluo and Song An, and Chen eventually pulls him free and carries him outside alive. (Chapters 216–231)

Appearance and personality

Xiao Du is highly reactive, cautious, and uncomfortable when left at the rear of a group. He scares easily but is not wholly passive: he follows Han out of concern, tries to stop damage to expensive props, and reports danger to Guo Miao rather than pretending his fear is expertise. Skills and supernatural abilities

Xiao Du has no supernatural power. His work at Tian Teng gives him familiarity with haunted-house props, actors, routes, and scare design, which helps him recognize when the moving mannequins exceed ordinary performance methods. (Chapters 216–231)
