Wang Yicheng

Wang Yicheng is a limping western-campus student recruited into Chen Ge's observation club. His timid behavior hides suppressed memories of Lin Sisi's bullying and of his own coerced role in luring the victim into a trap.

Biography

Guilt, memory, and awakening

Wang Yicheng joins Chen Ge's club because remaining with new companions feels safer than returning to roommates who ignore or bully him. He interrupts Zhu Long's trance, serves as a lookout, and insists on Chen's kindness even when the teacher's behavior frightens everyone. The upper-floor toilet forces back the memory he fears most: other students beat and coerced him into luring Lin Sisi there. Yicheng had tried to warn a teacher and later entered the door hoping to apologize, but the false campus suppressed both his guilt and identity. When the memories return, he cries blood, becomes forceful enough to resist the school administrators, and awakens as a Red Specter. He later leaves through the well with Painter and Zhou Tu, choosing their uncertain path over the old school authority. (Chapters 795–829, 891–905)

Appearance and personality

Wang Yicheng is a short, thin young man with a limp who initially appears weak and cowardly. He is sensitive to ostracism, empathetic toward companions, and desperate for friendship. Restored memory does not erase his fear, but it replaces passive submission with painful honesty and a determination not to let Lin Sisi's tragedy repeat. (Chapters 795–824)

Before awakening, Yicheng contributes observation, school knowledge, and small acts of protection. His restored memories bring blood tears, a red-stained body, and Red Specter-level presence, although the narrative does not explain a specialized ability.
