Uncle Xu is New Century Park's long-serving manager and the practical, protective elder who helps Chen Ge keep the House of Horrors operating.

Biography

Guardian of a failing attraction

Uncle Xu begins caught between management's demand for rent and his sympathy for a young owner whose parents have vanished. He warns Chen that New Century Park cannot carry an unprofitable attraction forever, but repeatedly turns that warning into practical help: delaying pressure, lending money for surveillance equipment, speaking to Director Luo, selling tickets, and managing the crowds created by the House's sudden popularity. His support is conditional on Chen making responsible business decisions, which gives their relationship the shape of a stern guardian rather than an indulgent sponsor. As the attraction succeeds, Xu becomes an active operational ally. (Chapters 1, 27, 37–38, 45–70, 93–216, and 248–390)

Frontline caretaker of New Century Park

Even after the House becomes famous, Uncle Xu remains the human employee dealing with queues, ambulances, tickets, deliveries, and confused visitors while Chen disappears on unexplained errands. He carries messages and supports expansion without demanding access to the supernatural secrets beneath the park. During the conflict with the futuristic theme park and the later acquisition of Nightmare Academy, his daily competence keeps New Century Park functioning around increasingly extraordinary events. By the final reunion he is still present at the park, his bafflement never outweighing his loyalty to Chen or the institution they saved together. Appearance and personality

Uncle Xu is a middle-aged man who often appears stern because he is the person responsible for rules, finances, and visitor safety. He is realistic about competition and visibly anxious when unconscious visitors require stretchers, yet he is dependable, generous within his means, and protective of Chen because he knows the family's history. Skills and supernatural abilities

He is skilled in ordinary park operations: ticketing, crowd control, management negotiation, storage, transport, purchasing, and emergency coordination. He has no demonstrated supernatural power and does not direct Chen's night investigations; his importance comes from maintaining the stable public operation those secret activities depend on.
