Biography

Nightmare Academy haunting

Shang Guan enters his own attraction wearing protective gear and carrying a golf club, expecting management authority and preparation to keep him safe. When a genuine ghost turns the scenario against the group, he prioritizes escape and abandons workers who had trusted him to lead. The experience leaves him hospitalized and far less dismissive of supernatural danger. While speaking with Lee Changyin afterward, he also reveals that Nightmare Academy bought the strange diary used in its scenario from the mother of a coma patient, tying his business decisions to a clue that Chen Ge later investigates. Ghost Fetus challenge and sale

Shang Guan later joins Ma Feng, Qin Guang, and other Haunted House professionals in a mass challenge at New Century Park. Unlike many newcomers, his earlier ordeal makes him openly cautious, but his warnings cannot keep the delegation together once the Ghost Fetus scenario closes around them. He suffers another severe breakdown and is hospitalized in a wheelchair. Soon afterward, he sells the Xin Hai Haunted House; Director Luo purchases it and transfers it to Chen Ge, ending Shang Guan's direct role in the rivalry he had tried to sustain. Appearance and personality

Shang Guan presents himself as a forceful, status-conscious businessman and equips himself with a helmet, knee guards, and a golf club when he expects trouble. His bluster masks a strong instinct for self-preservation. After firsthand supernatural encounters, he becomes more cautious, but fear still overwhelms his judgment when he re-enters Chen Ge's scenarios. (Chapters 752–757, 1116–1136)

Skills and supernatural abilities

He has business experience in operating and expanding a commercial Haunted House, but no demonstrated supernatural ability. Protective sports equipment and prior knowledge give him only a modest practical advantage once genuine Specters enter a scenario. (Chapters 752–757, 1116–1136)

Relationships

  • Chen Ge: Shang Guan treats him as a commercial rival, but repeated defeats eventually end with Chen taking over the attraction Shang Guan sells. (Chapters 752–757, 1116–1143)
  • Qu Changlin: Qu is one of his former designers; the difference between Shang Guan's management and Chen's creative trust helps drive Qu's departure. (Chapters 739–761)
