Red Raincoat Woman is a formidable Red Specter whose repeated question—whether anyone has seen her child—drives every encounter she has with the living and dead.

Biography

Search through Li Wan City

The woman first stalks Route 104 and Xiao Gu, approaching strangers with her mouth sewn shut and her search reduced to the same desperate question. Her grief makes her dangerous, especially when she briefly treats Tong Tong as a possible substitute, but Chen Ge refuses to surrender the child and instead offers to help her search. That choice gradually changes their conflict into cooperation. During the Li Wan City battle she carries Tong Tong, recovers most of Xiao Bu's scattered limbs, and returns them without demanding payment. She then remains at the ghost apartment, still unable to leave her own missing child behind. (Chapters 485–493, 541–543, 676–677)

Appearance and personality

She wears a rain-soaked red raincoat, with wet hair veiling much of her face and red thread sewing her lips closed. Blood tears and the repeated gestures forced by her sealed mouth make her frightening, but her conduct also shows maternal persistence, grief, and an ability to respond to genuine aid rather than attack indiscriminately. Skills and supernatural abilities

As a Red Specter, she can pursue and overpower lesser spirits, pressure the passengers of Route 104, and move through the dangerous environment of Li Wan City while carrying others. She remains wary of the hearse itself and of stronger threats, so her strength does not remove the restrictions created by the route and the uncontrolled door. (Chapters 485–493, 541–543, 676–677)
